Sounds humane to me. Trooper did good.
Of course, the heads will have to be condemned, but if he hurries up and bleeds and guts them, should be something salvagable.

That's actually quite sad. Pigs are suprisingly intelligent animals, and burning to death is a bad way for anything to have to go.
