This is the big one. They certainly are "desperate"... makes you sit up, and wonder what the urgency is.

I'm awake because my stupid alarm clock went off at 0600 this morning to tell me to go run 3 1/2 miles... I'm in europe, it's almost lunchtime now!!

I stayed up this late because I could.
Because Susan Estrich's voice was giving me nightmares.
The voices in my head all went out for beers and I have nobody else to talk to.
The thought of what might happen if I actually removed one of those "Do not remove under penalty of law" tags has been keeping me up nights.
Infomercials! Infomercials! Infomercials!
I'm actually a vampire. Please don't tell my neighbors.

Re your "I'm on-call and the damned cell won't shut up. And, there's a Great Horned Owl outside in the Ponderosa Pine making a racket. No moon tonight, so I can't see where to point the 12 gauge."
Well, I don't need...

No stinking 12 guage!

Printing out Southwest Air boarding passes. You can do that after 12 AM on the day of your flight. Only way to be sure of getting a good seat.

You must be young, then. Old people like me usually just fall asleep at the drop of a hat. Well, since you really seem to be having a problem with this, I will suggest this: massage your legs and your shoulders. Relax. Massage your face, head and arms very slowly. Then say a prayer for someone else. (Not you)
Then go to bed with he TV on the cooking show, unless you are interested in cooking. If you are, tune in the fishing channel.
Have the intention of watching the show until it's over.

If we had actually listened to those real estate infomercials 10 years ago, we would all be millionaires by now!

And I've sold off 9 in the last year, too. My dad passed away a while back and I inherited his. Six of the group are lever action Winchesters manufactured prior to 1890, and are on my den wall. Most of mine are 4th generation handed-down weapons brought into the Dakota Territory when a man HAD to have a gun on his saddle ring.
