Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Continued from previous thread...
Yeah, Chidori's boisterous without being too stereotypical. Lots of anime have the pretty, bouncy girl heroine and usually she's obnoxious, but Chidori feels genuine. Like Tohru from Fruits Basket ought to be annoying with her politeness and kindness, but she isn't because you think that's who she really is. For me, that's why the Fruits Basket dub failed, by the way: the Tohru actress just couldn't bring across Tohru's inner self.

She is genuine but also competent and level headed (by normal standards hehehe) so what is not to like?

Evening OT, Hair; Well, take a stroll around the shire and y'all up an move again. No matter, just follow the cart tracks. :-)
As a chemist, I would think you'd want to run some tests on the meat of the big uns. Who knows what you would find.

I don't think I want to know. Did some fish samples from around Oak Ridge once...didn't eat fish for 1-2 years after that.

Ack! I go away for a few hours and people pack up and move on me!
Good evening!
Just about bedtime here. I got lots of groceries, including an enormous package of hamburger...it was on sale. Got it all separated into smaller packages and now have a nice freezer full of meat. And that is a comforting thought...
Heh...I feel like I imagine folks musta after finishing carving up a bear or somethin'...
