I'll be honest with you, I've never heard the ketchup lady speak before but the woman definitely sounded drunk or sedated one way or another to me. She slurred her words repeatedly and her timing was off throughout her speech. Other than that, can anyone tell me where her unusual accent comes from? She doesn't sound like a Bostonian or even a Boston Brahman as far as I can tell. I doubt the public can relate to her. She's definitely no match for our Lady Laura. She appears to belong more in the Betty Ford Clinic than the White House.
She is a native of Mozambeq, Africa (sp?) English is NOT her native language.

I've noticed that too. I thought it was just me. Several times I've heard her speak in interviews and such and she seems impaired.

She was raised speaking Portugese. She sounds slurred in every interview I've seen. It's either from a poor learning of English, a birth defect, or possibly she's had a stroke at some time.

As you've learned her native tongue is Portuguese. Her father was a wealthy doctor and very much a part of The Portuguese aristocracy in Mozambique. They left in a hurry when some lefty [communist} mob took control. Her John 2 probably would have been cheer-leading this gang, as the evil colonialists were routed. Of course, Mozambique has benn a basket case since then. But liberals never look back. I believe she was sedated the other night. There are too probable reasons. She's had to spend more time with Lurch than usual. Or, he is afraid the truth about Alexandra Polier will finall come out. She's said she will "maim" him if he ever cheats. They probably have a Portuguese word for the Lorena Bobbit "maiming". Kerry probably knows it all too well. He doesn't want her at the top of his game, when the time comes.
