Stone Cold got frustrated (again) at the storylines his character was taking (like being RAW's "Sheriff") so he quit. Again. Lesnar quit after Wrestlemania, as did Goldberg. I haven't seen Scott Steiner, also, in months.

Bring back Jeff Hardy!

He seems to have disappeared from SmackDown! a few months ago.

His last match (which was against Goldberg) was at Wrestlemania XX this past March.

I met and spoke to him for a while after he had a motorcycle accident back in April. He was sitting in the ER and we just started chatting about football, wrestling, and sports in general. He wasn't badly hurt, just pissed off about his bike and bored with no one to talk to. I mentioned that my 12-year old brother was a huge WWE fan and he suggested that we call him up. I'll never forget his greeting, "Hullo Eric, this is Brock Lesnar." I heard the shout of happiness that followed from across the room.

A real class act all around.

Thanks, I haven't seen RAW in months, but noticed Stone Cold had vanished again on the weekend replay show, Velocity or whatever.

I didn't know Goldberg and Steiner had quit as well, though.

Not if he has been off the juice for a while. But his performance will suffer.

As a free-agent? What do they have to lose? If he's a stiff, he gets cut, no big loss. The guy is extremely fast, tough, and strong, which isn't a bad start. He'll probably get cut, but what the hay.

I don't think so. He was freaky strong and big even as a freshman in HS. I remember my alma mater courting him as a football player and wrestler back as far as when he was in 9th grade.

I wish him well. Usually, college wrestlers get a shot at the Olympics and then you never hear aout them again.

Yeah, Goldberg and Lesner's last match coincidently was at Wrestlemania XX. Goldberg wasn't a big surprised as he was never a fan of the WWE to begin with, but "The Next Big Thing" Brock Lesner surprised many with his departure, even though he was a bit of a complainer about the heavy schedule. That Wrestlemania match was booed heavily since the audience knew both wrestlers were leaving, plus the match reportedly was a poorly performed work.

Stone Cold just wasn't as interested in the product since he physically can't take bumps anymore. He does have some serious domestic violence problems in his personal life, and I recall another incident around the time of his most recent departure.

Scott Steiner had been struggling with injuries and the WWE decided not to renew his contract which I think just ran out.

He just signed with TNA.

Yeah, and the odds are way against him. As a long suffering Vikings fan, I'm ready to try anything.

Big Ten wrestling should provide him with pretty good basics for putting an opponent on his butt.

Where do you get your insider news? I haven't found any good sites, and I don't like seeing the storylines being given away weeks in advance on some of those rumor sites.

he's a local wrestling hero from his heavyweight days at the U.
the U had best hang on to the coach, but he's not popular among the PC crowd that run the U.
(he's an outspoken critic of title 9)

my guess is a publicity stunt to get pre-season interest in the Vikes.

This is pretty funny -- I was listening to WFAN, the local sports radio station last night, and some teenage boy called in asking which football team Lesnar was going to sign with! I thought it was the most ridiculous call, and now it turns out the kid was on the money about Brock going to the NFL.
