My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It was extremely weird.. it popped into my head last night, and it was posted to a thread as a g'nite note....
It may end up as a tagline.

She slapped me silly with a sardine and then melted my mind with 'dreeze'!
Whatever 'dreeze' is..
/ joke.
I noticed that when I post while tired, my posts go from silly but readable to babbling incoherently.

LOL
Well, it severs a purpose Darksheare. Some of us can relate. LOL
To: bentfeather
LOL!
Yeah, it does seem to serve some odd purpose.
(Didn't help me much while I was in uniform! Busting up laughing at 3 in the morning and getting the LTC to laugh at what you were thinking as well get's one a 'reputation'..)

The LTC had been a Battery Commander years before, and the dominant thinking at the time was that Captains don't have fun and don't joke with 'the lads' at all.
Fast forward, he's a Lieutenant Colonel, and he's our Battalion Commander.
We're out in the middle of west nosedrip Fort Drum being aggressed by mosquitoes and chiggers, and this lunatic comes flying into the foxhole with me and says, "I'll man the 60 soldier, you cover me."
I'm looking at him like he's insane and then recognise him.
He takes the machine gun, and we're sitting watch.
Next day, he and I are standing about doing small menial tasks just to get things done, and my section chief wanders up, yells at us both, notices the LTC and jumps three foot in surprise.
The LTC says, "Where do you need me, chief?"
Ended up with that LTC diggin foxholes with us, manning teh howitzer and other artillery tasks.
When asked later why he was out there with us, he says, "Back when I was a Captain, they wouldn't let me play with the toys. Now I'm the Bn Commander, I can go where I want. What do we do next?"
*chuckle*
