It only took Slim Fast about 24 hours to pull the plug on Whoopi after all you Freepers and thousands of other Americans registered complaints about her bashing The President at the Radio City Music Hall fundraiser for John Kerry. It's amazing, that thing called "Power of the People"; especially when you hit their pocketbooks. I've also switched my car insurance from Progressive. It's been reported that the owner of the company has given 1.2 million to liberal, left-wing, Dem causes and candidates. If the GOP leadership, the Bush Campaign and the RNC won't take the gloves off and fight like this thing is worth fighting for, then it's time for us to come on like a junk yard dog.

Gives me a warm fuzzy knowing that us FReepers led the charge and got that b*tch fired.

Especially right after they complain about "Capitalism" and how it ruins the less fortunate!
Let's go after the sponsers of that POS MM film!

They didn't send me an email yet, but I was glad that two days after I sent my email to Unilever, they responded by firing the loud mouthed, B-list hack.

Frankly, while Goldberg's remarks reflected badly on her position of spokesperson for Slim-Fast, and it is their concern as to how to deal with that, or even whether to do so, the most egregious comment I am aware of was by Kerry himself when he claimed that what was being said was mainstream America.

I always thought that people insured with Progressive did so because of their high risk status....not being offered insurance by standard carriers.

Got the same response. Have to admire Slimfast for dumping porky. Who's next?

I quit buying SlimFast products several years ago when I found out the owner was a big-time democrat donor. I refuse to support anyone that supports this party.

Before everyone goes around singing the praises of Slim Fast, you may want to look at how their founder and chairman,
S. Daniel Abraham spends his campaign cash.
hint: it's way worse than Whoopi I'm just sayin', the enemy of our enemy is not necessarily our friend.

I did not get a reply either. Hum, maybe they have so many to answer that it takes time. So glad that it did not take too much time to drop the foul mouth Goldie.

I got the same e-mail yesterday.
It's a start.
Yes, Whoopie, there ARE consequences to "free" speech.

Dear Barb anyman ,
Thank you for contacting us recently about our use of Whoopi Goldberg, specifically regarding
her remarks made at the recent fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall. The manner in which Ms.
Goldberg chose to express her personal beliefs at this event do not reflect the views and values
of Slim·Fast.
Slim·Fast selected Whoopi Goldberg as its spokesperson because of her commitment to losing
weight, which we applaud.
We are disappointed by the manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express herself and
sincerely regret that her recent remarks offended you. Advertisements featuring Ms. Goldberg
will no longer be on air.
We appreciate you sharing your views with us and we hope you will continue to use Slim·Fast
as your partner in healthy weight management.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Mclean
Consumer Services Representative

I don't use their product, but I would sure use it ahead of CortaSlim.
