Thank you for contacting us recently about our use of Whoopi Goldberg, specifically regarding her remarks made at the recent fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall. The manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express her personal beliefs at this event do not reflect the views and values of Slim·Fast.
Slim·Fast selected Whoopi Goldberg as its spokesperson because of her commitment to losing weight, which we applaud.
We are disappointed by the manner in which Ms. Goldberg chose to express herself and sincerely regret that her recent remarks offended you. Advertisements featuring Ms. Goldberg will no longer be on air.
We appreciate you sharing your views with us and we hope you will continue to use Slim·Fast as your partner in healthy weight management.
Sincerely,
Kathi Eckler Consumer Services Manager

I quit buying SlimFast products several years ago when I found out the owner was a big-time democrat donor. I refuse to support anyone that supports this party.

Before everyone goes around singing the praises of Slim Fast, you may want to look at how their founder and chairman,
S. Daniel Abraham spends his campaign cash.
hint: it's way worse than Whoopi I'm just sayin', the enemy of our enemy is not necessarily our friend.
To: Stallone
"Even their apology rings hollow: "we're sorry if you were offended". Sounds like they just want your money."
Exactly, SlimFast owner figures we lost the battle(with Whoopie) but we won't lose the war ie., keep buying our product so we can FUND our pet leftist agendas. It's not rocket science.

I did not get a reply either. Hum, maybe they have so many to answer that it takes time. So glad that it did not take too much time to drop the foul mouth Goldie.
To: DCPatriot
No. Not true. They really do offer good service; I've got to say that for them.

I'm not real sure as to what the significance of a "bump from a mod." is. I see it as a vote of approval and support for your thread.
. . . or maybe the moderator is a secret admirer or something??

"This may be the only way to really fight these left-wing fanatical hate-mongers...We need to hit these cronies where it hurts their hypocritical selves the most."
BUT, I MUST SAY THAT I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE "BOYCOTT" OF THE DIXIE CHICKS CONCERTS AND CD SALES DID NOT SEEM TO HURT THEM AT ALL. SOMETIMES I THINK THEIR CONCERT CROWDS INCREASED. I WAS TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED.

They stopped playing Dixie Chicks music at our gym during bike/spin class for a few months, but they are playing it again. We all moan and groan when the Chicks come on... UGH!!!!

You suggested:
"We agree with you. We too were offended, as any rational American would, particularly in time of war, and we apologize that you were offended too." I think that's still wrong.
It should say:
"We agree with you. We too were offended, as any rational American would, particularly in time of war, and we apologize that you were offended too. our spokesperson offended you."
It's the difference between "I'm sorry you were hurt" and "I'm sorry I hurt you."

I like the difference between "I'm sorry you were hurt" and "I'm sorry I hurt you".
Very Clintonian not to take responsibility.

I got a similar email from SlimFast yesterday. Kudos for the rapid response in dumping Whoopi and also for answering its mail.

It only took Slim Fast about 24 hours to pull the plug on Whoopi after all you Freepers and thousands of other Americans registered complaints about her bashing The President... Good for Slim Fast.
I don't use their product, but I would sure use it ahead of CortaSlim.
