I've tried to join a couple of FREEPER leagues on here and all are full. So, I figured I'd open a new one for those of us who didn't "jump on the dime", or may not be within the inner circle of the football fanatics. Would love to have some fellow FREEPERS join in and have some good-natured fun.

Absolutely! The competition is pretty fierce. I think a lot of people are still playing. Like any big league there are a couple of teams that look dormant, consistent with their lackluster performance. =)

re: dormant teams: I was thinking of the teams who don't appear to be playing at all anymore: (i.e. QBs on the roster who aren't active, vs. a QB benched who is a starter.) That kind of thing.
BTW - are trades allowed? There was one ongoing last week, but apparently it was ended because "over the limit" though the one team has 11 moves only, not the 15 max. There is a post on the league page referencing this if you need more info. I wasn't involved in the trade.
I have LOST two very close games... one of them by 0.3 points. I really needed a recount.
