I called the number on the it gave...a woman at city hall saying they're working on the problem. Told me to come to one of the (I guess) city council meetings at city hall to hear more about it.
At the bottom of the letter it says "We at Bixby work around the clock to provide top quality water to every customer and we are currently testing the latest technology to help us meet that goal."
What are they trying to shovel on me? Or in to my water?
The contaminates where the water failed are:
HAA5 Halo-acetic Acid
TTHM Total trihalomethanes
Total organic carbon
Hmm... we need OT to explain what that means, I think!
I'd keep drinking bottled water.
Does Steve have any insider information?
Probably new taxes for a new water filtration system. ;-)
If that's the word from city hall, I'd keep drinking the bottled water until you hear otherwise. Or consider getting one of those filters you add to the tap, or something like that.
You can get the filtered water at Walmart pretty cheaply.
The reality is you probably have to consume HUGH doses to worry about any of those things (kind of like having to feed five pounds of saccarin to a 2 lb. rat to give it cancer). But, it never hurts to be cautious.
Crickey!!! Thank God we have a well... been tested clean...
