Well, ya know, Derry's mom had bad heart problems even before I married him. Since we divorced they've thought they lost her to heart attacks a few times.
Well, this surgeon scheduled some new kind of open heart surgery on her for yesterday. It is already clear that she's not gonna make it much longer. They said it was about 50-50 that she'd live through the surgery. So, Myranda and Derry went up there. Tuesday, before the surgery was supposed to be yesterday the surgeon cancelled the surgery and didn't tell 'em why.
So, Myranda and Derry are still in Kansas City trying to see what's going to happen. He's supposed to stop her off at my mom's to visit with everyone on their way back to his house.
