The Hobbit Hole XIII - Let them pass! Let them pass!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Corin, when he gets there.

Heh, I have a manga budget. Right now I can fit in one other title that's published every other month; or buy back-issues every other month, because I have a two-manga monthly budget. Unless there's something I really want, in which case I'll spend general-novel money on it...I'm really glad Kenshin's on a monthly schedule now but it'll make the budget tricky if I find another manga to love.

New Fruits Basket should be in stores any day now. Yay! More Honda-san!

don't tell anyone but I've got some FMP here... I just won't keep it. That will assauge my guilty, anime-crazed conscience. Looks like the first ep will be ready to watch during dinner...

But I read 'em again and again... still, you're right, which is why I read most of it at the bookstore. I can read a volume in about 45 minutes if it's not engrossing. Fruits Basket usually takes me twice that, which is why I buy Fruits Basket religiously.

(Can I have a Kyo-kun in my collection, too, please? Or maybe a Shigure even if he is a perv?)

I've got an "anime on legit dvds" fund, too. Right now it's being saved for Fullmetal Alchemist - told you I'm a fangirl. I haven't bought any since I acquired Fruits Basket in May, though.

He was probably there. Hung out for five minutes. And never made it on camera.

Told you I like real men. Er, animated real men... something wrong with that. They can have long hair, nice eyes, whatever, but if they'd look better in my dresses than I do, nothing doing.

Perhaps he is a fair weather dwarf. There is a storm in the area:
