New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Heh...busted agin.
I think you have too much blood in your caffeine system this morning...
If I was talking about you, I'd have dropped the 'reminder' part and just called ya a great package.
It's still playing here!
bowling for birthdays...
have a great day! I'm sure you will all have lots of fun...more fun than tomorrow anyway. :-)

G'nad...I mean mrsnad
doh
No, unfortunately, he goes to a different doctor. This is a GI doc that his doc referred him to. It should be on his record, though.
I'm hoping the GI doc says something to hack me off though. He did in the past when I was a nurse...griped at me about something, used bad language. Docs think they can get away with it and well, they can. Hospital won't do nothin. I had to just stand there (admittely, scowling) but couldn't really yell back.
So I'm going in with a chip on my shoulder, so to speak, and I hope I get to unleash on him a bit as a patient family member if he says anything to irritate me.
See, it's probably been 4 years ago since he gave me that bit of grief...just another little glitch in his day that he likely doesn't remember.
But I remember...
~still chuckling~
Oh dear.
I have a lot of animosity I can take out on him...some isn't even related to him, but I can still take it out on him! LOL
Just kiddin'.
Bear, what is the link for the wedding pictures I posted? I posted one of the young lady soldier we met in the airport...do you know what post that is?
I just kayaked in from the coast, and boy are my arms tired. (ba da bump)
Another beautiful day here.
Ruthy - thanks fer breakfast
Rosie - Our kayak guide goes to Green-something college in Vermont. 'zat you? Or at least familiar?
Hair - "see you" at 7 tonite.
Rose/Bear/Fedora/ExGeeEye/Lil - RE: Heinlein - Yeah, what Lil' said. Mighta been better if I'd gone into it thinking that. I'll check back next week for your recommendations. Got plenty of books here already.
Bear - I like what I've read from Zelazny
WN/300winmag - I think #4 is the least you can say.
2J - Tell Steve we hope everything works out in the end.
morning! mmm, steak and eggs! Haven't had that in a looong time.
Elf-boy is feeling decidedly better this morning, and we still have the one (so far) lucky fish. Maybe he will last through tonight also?
Maybe I can actually leave the house for more than a few minutes today!
Corin - Morning, sir! I hope you're enjoying that vacation. I'm so jealous since I am sitting here in cubicle-land. *sigh*
msdrby - my tetras always died too easily. I'm telling ya....Platys and Cory Catfish are the way to go. It takes a nuclear weapon to kill them! LOL!! Also, if he's happy with just one fish - get him a Betta. They're the toughest of all!
Hello from one of the delinquents...
Wow, slow start this morning, although I dealt with some work related issues first. I just remembered that I agreed to work ten hours this week "consulting" for my old job! Ooops... well, it'll just have to be the ten hours I want.
And today's laundry day. Need to find a good book to read whilst babysitting the machines.
Heh...my dad (he's RT) says the same thing. A lot of doctors are cranky and rude with other hospital workers just because they can. Makes you appreciate the good ones all the more, I guess.
Hm...Green something? Gotta be a private college...Green Mountain, prolly? Everything around here is Green Mountain...we're the Green Mountain state, so...
Personally, my favorite Green Mountain thing is the coffee...nice to be able to get gourmet class coffee at just gas stations. That's the way it is here! I like...
That's one thing I don't miss. Not the reading...the lugging stuff to the car and having to guard my stuff so no one pulled it out of the dryer still wet or anything.
First thing I bought for my house was NOT furniture. It was the washer and dryer. And there was much rejoicing...
Now, of course, the bothers come do THEIR laundry at my house. Oh well. Means I have company once in awhile, which is nice, I suppose. Plus it gives me bribing tools for when I want the lawn mowed...
Good morning!
Sorry about the fish, msdrby! We never had good luck with fish when I was little, for whatever reason. Tried goldfish a coupla times, but they always ended belly-up in a few days. Too bad...I think Dad appreciated them much more than the other things we had as pets. ;-)
I just have to haul the stuff down two flights of stairs. Not too bad at all, I just need to find quarters and a good book here...
