Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yes, I'm studying at Colorado State University, in Fort Collins. What? Winters weren't harsh enough for you in Pennsylvania?
Doesn't Florida State, the University of Florida, or even Florida Institute of Technology have your area of study?

Ew. He has cute eyes, but the rest is a definite, "No, thanks".
Guys can be too muscled, you know... just like women can have too much in the chest department.

Gotta think of floride though...no floride in it. I'll speak to 2jedisdentist. The good nutrition you're giving them will do far more for jedi teeth than fluoridated water ever will.

Is that someone I'm supposed to recognize, or just a muscled dude?Just your basic, run-of-the-mill, ripped Culligan Man.

I couldn't have taken the summers! Also why I didn't look at schools in Texas, or Arizona. I don't do heat well.
And I like mountains a lot. The winters in Fort Collins aren't much worse than I'm used to - it's not in the mountains, just right next to them.

Guys can be too muscled, you know... Agreed. It's a matter of crossing the line between being toned and healthy and being downright vain. Ugh.

Yeah, what you said. Probably why, say, Arnold Schwarzenagger never appealed to me.
And his hair wasn't very good, either. I'm glad longish hair is in style for geek guys. I think it's cute for guys to have a little bit of hair. (Also I don't usually like blond on guys, though I make exceptions...)
Hmm, you got an awkward post number there.

I couldn't have taken the summers! Also why I didn't look at schools in Texas, or Arizona. I don't do heat well. Alas, Northern Arizona University is in Flagstaff and has splendid summers. Just visited it on Sunday and miss it so. But I don't think they have the high-level of CS program you need.

Don't usually care for long hair. There are exceptions, of course...but guys with military style cuts (not shaved, but very short and neat) definitely catch my eye.
But that sorta in-between and maybe not naturally colored look that guy has goin'...just isn't very attractive.
Picky, ain't we, ksen?

Ever since Lord of the Rings, I've enjoyed looking at guys with nice hair. Shoulder-length, or so; or a nice ponytail, if they can grow one.
Really long hair, no. But a good hairstyle makes a guy stand out from the crowd.

Long hair looks good on SOME guys...like those with Nordic ancestry. And if they grow it long, they have to at least have the sensibility of having it trimmed in a flattering cut. The scraggly hippie look just makes them look old and sloppy.

I just like a man with chest hair.
I dated a guy that spent a lot of time on his hair...once I made the mistake of reaching up and rubbing the back of his head and he went ballistic. "Don't mess up my hair!" says he...well, that was pretty much the end of that relationship.
I imagine this guy would be like that only 100 time worse.

The scraggly hippie look just makes them look old and sloppy. Exactly! And usually I'm not much for ponytails...it's just rarely attractive and usually just looks hippy.
But slightly long can be vey nice. Like...I liked Gerard Butler's hair in Timeline VEY much.
The accent didn't hurt neither, of course...
Mmmm...
