Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

"LOL! Well, when you know it's late at night, there is reason for no one to be up to interact with...
If I funkle in the middle of the day, I assume I am the only one currently interested in what I have to say ;~D"
No problem, that happens to me all the time! Just do what I do. . .[see next post]

To: Fedora
Why, thank you! And you look pretty spiffy yourself. Kinda quiet around here, isn't it?

Yes--almost too quiet. . .I think I'll put on some music:

See, the thing with a lie is, unless it's believable it does no good. If I'd said Rosie was the one who made us ignore Hair, who'd believe that?

Well, the liar also has to be pretty adept.
To: Corin Stormhands
Right, and I'm not good at that. I'm good at selective omissions, but not outright lies.

Are you guys on the mailing list for this Puget Sound Chapter stuff? I can forward it to you if you are intrerested.
JIM ROBINSON COMES TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!
It's a FReeper Party!
Sunday, August 8, 2004
Seattle, WA
BBQ & Potluck - bring your best!
RSVPs please! E-mail, FReepmail, or call Call Libertina at [edited]
Dear FReeper Friends,
On Sunday, August 8th, we will be honored with a visit from FRee Republic Founder, Jim Robinson, his lovely wife Sheila, and son, Chris.
We plan to hold the party in West Seattle, at the home of FReeper Seattle.
I will be sending out the details in the next few days, but be sure and mark your calendar NOW for this special Puget Sound FReeper Chapter event!
To mark Jim's visit, we would like to present him with some gas cash to keep the US Travel Tour going! To that end, I am donating $50.00. If you would like to join me in contributing, we'll pass the hat at the party.
Billthedrill has been hard at work brewing a special batch of beer just for the Robinson Family and us :) Yum...
So plan your best side dish appetizer, salad, side dish or dessert and reserve your spot today. As usual, family and kids welcome. (Bikers too ;)
Have any pictures of FReeps or rallies? Please BRING THEM! I will also be putting together a photo album to give to Jim. Any additions welcome! You can also email photo files for me to print out if you would like.
Have a special idea for our party? - let me know :)
Cheers, Brandon Puget Sound Chapter Leader
ENJOY LIFE! This is not a dress rehearsal.

The horses are pretty selective in what they mow, they can't be depended on to be even, and besides, I love mowing. :~D

That's a little weird.
Hmm, we're still supposed to get a storm but it's sunny here. Not complaining, just observing.
