Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's a little difficult to explain. But it was basically talking about college classmates and where they've gone.
To: Corin Stormhands
I can see how that'd be a lot to cover in 2-3 minutes! How long did it end up being?

I got it under three minutes.

Turns out it was someone else. Not the dwarfs fault this time. :-)
I'm sitting here talking to this guy from Belgium. Interesting. So far it's all about beer. I'm about to pull the Bush card and see how it flies. This should be fun.

To: Corin Stormhands

I'm teaching him about Red Hook. So far so good.
He really likes the Blonde Ale.
Red Hook and a couple of other micros here in the NW have nothing to fear from the best of the Belgian and German brews. Next we're moving on to the Pike Place India Pale Ale.

Have I told you that one of my neighbors is the brewmaster at the local Hops Restaurant?
Heh...he also does our chemicals at the pool.

Oooo...not good. I've done that though. Actually woke up once at the bottom of an off ramp wondering why the @#$@# I took that exit.
And no, I had NOT been drinking...
To: Ramius
So have you played the Bush card yet?
