Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

And we went through with it..... we got married. :~D Congratulations! ;-)
The pastor brought us a six pack of microbrew as a gift and consolation for the papers getting lost.
Now THAT is one fine consolation gift!

My kitchen isn't done yet, BTW. They only managed to get the framing for the cabinets installed. Today's magic word is "tomorrow". ;-)

I'll get Harvey's address and send it along with the others. How much did each of the engraved knives that we're sending cost? The knives are costing us $21.14 each, with engraving (a heck of a deal, if I may say so myself). Postage is quite a bite, unless we send several in one package.
And while contributions are always welcome, the knives will be sent out regardless of payment.

Looks like a very unusual tabby mix to me!
I like tabbies because of the neat variations you find on each one. Tortoise-shells are the same way.

Yeesh... :-)
I gots Winders boxes that I reboot every couple of years just outta habit. Properly treated... they seem to work just fine. :-)
But... then again... we are playing around with a Beowulf cluster of about a dozen linux pizza box P4's. We're hoping to use the cluster for some finite-element modeling apps. So far it is benchmarking about 4 to 10 times faster than our current SGI Origin 3200. And at a fraction of the cost.
