Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Besides, I'm taking about me fercryinoutloud.
If I can get it to under 3 minutes, I'm just gonna run with it...
I know you've probably covered it, but did you find out what was wrong?? Direct me to your post about it if you like...
Such a sweet horse...
You gonna share with us?
Back from lunch. It was very nice, but went late. S'ok, the boss left already! Besides I already told him I'm in here before he is, and out after, every day.
What's he gonna do, fire me?
Where'd you go for lunch?
Just to Ground Round, we're all pretty broke but we wanted something a little better than McDonalds. Problem is, everywhere is twenty minutes away, and then one sister needed to stop by her work to request off while Mom and Dad are out of town moving me.
You mean the monologue? er...no...
What's Ground Round? Sounds like a burger place or something along those lines?
Thanks! Best discussion of it is over in the horse thread.
If you read a little up and down from here

You'll find out what was ~done~ about it, but we don't really know the cause for the colic.
No, it's a pretty cheap steak/chicken dishes place. Like, oh, Applebee's, maybe. Though they do have burgers.
We had really great service, though, and ended up leaving our waitress a very nice tip.

Ooh, we used to go to one of those! I don't know if they're the same in other cities, but the one here was characterized by stuff like organ grinder music and popcorn and a big screen where you could watch movies while you ate and stuff.
Well, Bay did fine during the afternoon, browsing on dry weeds in the pasture, but this evening once the medication wore off, he started looking dumpy and laying down again. He even refused to eat grain that was offered to him, which I have never seen him do before. So we called the vet back.
After checking his (Bay's) vital signs again (which are still fairly normal) and administering another dosage of medicine and a slight sedative, he (the vet) put on a long glove and proceeded to perform a rectal examination... inserting his arm up to the shoulder, checking for obstructions, pulling out lumps of poo and checking the consistency. He (the vet) said it (the poo) seemed a little harder and drier than is normal, like he's (Bay's) getting a touch dehydrated. They (the horses) have plenty of water that we (ecurbh and Hair) keep filled up, but it (the weather) has been so dang hot lately.
He (the vet) pulled out a 6-foot section of plastic hose, got it lubed up, and started feeding it (the tube) up through his (Bay's) nose, all the way down to the stomach. Bay seemed rather nonplussed at the whole procedure, but then, if I was in his situation, I would be too. Anyway, he (the vet) pumped in a couple gallons of an oily-watery mixture to try to clear out whatever has him blocked up.
Looks good so far, he (Bay) ate a couple bites of grain and nibbled some hay, and hasn't seemed to be in a hurry to lay back down. We'll see if he eats breakfast in the morning, and take it from there. He (the vet) isn't worried about a serious episode tonight, so we shouldn't have to stay up with him (Bay) all night.
Thanks for your prayers!
So, are you going to have time to watch some anime tonight?
I'm making ksen a couple disks, with the replacement for episode 24 and the next seven episodes (all there are currently). Would you like me to go ahead and send them to you now? Otherwise you run a risk of not getting any more for a couple weeks.
Just found this site, since we're talking coffee...could use a cafe au lait right about now...
I should be able to watch some tonight, yes! Two or three episodes, if I work it right.
I'd love to have the next batch...but you're probably pretty busy, no? I doubt I'll finish what I have for a couple of weeks, if not longer. So...it's up to you.
That (your) version of events (report) is funny honey (ecurbh)
Well, I'm making a set for ksen, so it's actually easier for me to make yours now. So I'll send you two cds, one with 4 and one with 3, and then you and ksen will have to wait for a few weeks.
Thank you (Hair), I (ecurbh) am kinda proud of it (the report). ;~D
Well, ecurbh and I are off to get married.... ;~D
It will be the second marriage for both of us!
WAIT! YOU CAN'T GET MARRIED WITHOUT THE SHOOOOOOOOOOEESSSSSS.....
