I had a good buddy who served on the Texas (the missile cruiser). Unfortunately, he and his family moved to Atlanta several years ago and we've drifted apart.

I haven't talked to that family yet. Also, it turns out my nephew wasn't in Germany all this time, he was at Ft. Hood! He's going to Germany in a couple of months, then likely to Afghanistan. I'll try to get all their info to you in the next month. I'll likely send it when I send you my knife.
Do we send knives to retired military, as well? My cousin retired a few years ago as, I think, a one star General. He was with the 3rd Armored Division in Gulf War 1, then was some high muckety muck with the Army in Berlin. He and his wife had to squire x42 and Her Heinous around the city when they came for a visit in the early 90's. UGH! He recently moved back to my hometown after his wife developed cancer. He lost her last year. I saw him at Mama's funeral.
