The Hobbit Hole XIII - Let them pass! Let them pass!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You've got time for two if you go now, they're 24 minutes each, less if you don't watch the end/preview.

Have you seen the commercial where Bob intimidates the Japanese businessmen?

Oh, every time I see it I laugh so hard I hurt!

Good evening all. Started a new contract job today, doing a rollout of notebook and desktop computers for the next 6-8 weeks. WooHoo! A steady paycheck!

Also, the antibiotics seem to be working.

Our paperwork got screwed up at the county, and we have to do it again...

GASP! LIVING in SIN!

So, which day is going to be the "official" wedding day, per the bureaucrats? And which one are you going to celebrate as your anniversary?

I don't really know! Maybe I can have two anniversaries?

She said anyone who was ~at~ the wedding could witness, so it sounds like the original ceremony is the date!

Why not! We have two anniversaries... if we wanted to, Rose and I could celebrate three or four anniversaries.

I guess having photographic evidence does you no good...if so, tell 'em you expect the same standard if you're accused of a crime and they say they got pics...

Speaking of photographic evidence.... where is that file you were talkin' about? - I looked at yahoo HH... Didn't spot it. Is that where it was/is?

Well, I started...but the computer overheated and it stopped working.

I THINK it works better if I hook it up to the TV, but I'm just not willing to go to that much effort tonight. Wednesday, maybe.

Oh, no! Is it the same problem as you were having before?

Drat. My evil plans are foiled for tonight. I'm supposing it left you rather confused, unless you saw the whole of the first episode, which isn't likely. It all starts making sense around the end of episode 3.

Ack! I need to get off the threads I'm on. I'm arguing with idiots. I hate it when I do that.

Evening all, Sun going down so Gypsy got her walk a bit late but got it non the less, great breezed through the Park tonight (it's on a ridge). On the flower garden front, got our first two surprise lilies breaking through - at least two weeks early.

Overtaxed: first tomato - yessss. The alumni ass'ns are truly remarkable in that respect, they should subcontract keeping track of the illegal aliens and legal ones too from the gov't. Bet not one would 'get away'.

Corin: hope you had a fan on while all that paintin was going on - no telling what's in that there 'silver' paint.

Hair; thanks for the doggie pings, especially the Rusty story. So Sorry to hear about Bay being down with colic. He looked just so sad in that pic.

PurpleQ; glad to WN is 'okay' but needing support through prayer.

G'nad; dang, you do more in a day than most folks do all week. Let me know when the young 'uns have worn the fletching off their arras.

In the photos section, when you first go to it it is showing 1-16 of 17 and the options "Next 1" and "Show all". Either option will get you the thumbnail, which you can click on for a bigger version. Or try pasing this URL into your address line (I just tested it):

http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/fr_hobbit_hole/vwp?.dir=/&.dnm=WeddingMoot+Photoshopped.jpg&.src=gr&.view=t&.hires=t

Remember when I tried to post it: we had been talking about how my old modem might choke on the album, and you suggested carving on stone tablets wouldn't do, so I posted a pic of an Egyptian temple and captioned it as the stone-carved wedding portrait. Later I tried to post this one with the caption:

"Hiya! Here's how much fun Photoshop can be: apparently, the Wedding Moot paused to pose for the chiseling in stone. Political grafitti and one of the kids playing with the sand are in evidence."
