Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh, at least when I unpack, it should take about two hours. Except for the books, those will take days and days to organize.

Well my books aren't organized but they are in bookcases now. I should sort through them and sell some of them.
To: Overtaxed
Sell your books? Why don't you just burn them, heretic?
I sold the ones I didn't want before packing 'em. It was a wrench, though, to trim down to just 400-ish.

Well...just some of them. The ones I don't really want to keep. Can I interest you in some Robert Jordan?
I should probably get rid of some of this dinnerware too. I have at least two sets that my sister gave me and one set for four.
To: Overtaxed
NOOO! It took me long enough to get rid of mine! That man is a plague on the universe.

Run away!
Ok, I've got everything together for dinner. As soon as the family gets home, we grill the steaks and boil the corn, and it's ready. So where are they? I'm hungry!

There's a resemblance! I thought so too, but couldn't put my finger on it until I saw g'nad's report earlier.

Heya, SuziQ and I got to discussing insulated concrete block/forms the other day and I wanted to get your professional take on them. Big'ol and I are going to be building a house for my mom ( in southern AZ) and need an economical and highly energy efficient building material. ICFs caught my eye.
