Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, but it'd have to be somewhere that delivers and I don't know how long that would take.

I don't have a couch either. Basically I need to have one or the other when I move in.

There's a resemblance!
I've never mentioned it, but SuziQ reminds me a lot of my mom, especially when she's got a big grin on... even in person.

Thanks. In my post I mentioned my experience with regular Risk.

Found...gasp!...The Toaster.
To: Overtaxed
Uh-oh. We'd better watch out now! Toaster of Doom back on the warpath.
I don't have a toaster yet...

It might be mad at me since it spent all that time in the box. Also the top of the flour can was loose and the taster was kind of ...powdered.
Need to get something to toast.
To: Overtaxed
Hmm. Will bagels appease the toaster? Or do you need frozen waffles?

I ate the last bagel this morning. Anyway, bagels (sliced longitudinally) are too thick for The Toaster.
To: Overtaxed
Then... will toast alone be sufficient?

Guess it will have to do. Fortunately, I have my bread machine now....I can appease The Toaster.
