Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
And they went to such effort to put the partial nudity into the film! What a shame, nobody cares enough to even get upset about it.
*comfort*
We got on the road at about 0700, arrived at Marshall, MO around 0915... upon our arrival we quickly located Master Osage... He greeted us with smiles and hugs... he then presented theboy with a wonderful hand-crafted (by him) Hickory bow, with a snake skin covering...
The jamboree was great fun... with many skilled craftsmen plying their trade and wares... we particularly liked the fur hats... only $100 each... friends of the Master Bowman gave my children gifts of arrows and trinkets and camaraderie...
for lunch, the g'nad clan had brought sandwiches, chips, garden fresh cherry 'maters, strawberries and grapes... one of Osage's friends, Mickey, (a.k.a. the Ferret) has a tradition of bringing hot links to the MO-Jam... the Master Bowman got two, and he and I enjoyed them immensely... now, they weren't the "nukular", hot, but they were tastey...
in keeping with the Axe & Bow tradition, there were certainly fine axes present... I particularly liked this one...
We spent quite a bit of time on the archery range... while theboy was learning how to handle his new bow, the girl demonstrated her talent with her bow that she received from Osage last year... I was impressed...
we departed around 1600, a little earlier than planned, but thenewboy refused to take his nap and we didn't want to push our luck, as he was being a very good little boy... We paused to take this pic, then with hugs, promises to keep in touch and get together before next year, we parted company... we are very blessed to have friends the like of Osage, LSAggie, and the rest of the Hobbit Hole Crue...
Oh I think Will Smith is cute enough.... but I haven't seen his evidently forgettable bum.
What a great report g'nad! That snakeskin bow is a very remarkable gift! Sounds like such a neat event.
Wow, what fun! Wish I'd been there.
Your kids have grown so much since Entmoot, especially thenewboy! Is he talking yet?
I haven't seen that either! Or.... if I have, I have forgotten :~D
Hehehe...got to see that at Tulsamoot. The stoopid good guys steal a Gremlin fercryinoutloud!
I rearranged the deck, found the cast iron cookware and my big mixing bowls. No highball glassses or stemware yet. :(
Hope you find it soon, so you can stop drinkin' straight from the bottle.
I think we are gonna rearrange the bedroom today instead of gathering rocks. too hot outside already.
I've got the lawnmower and the compost bin (broken down into halves) out there. Didn't want it to look too junky. It's 82 here and the air conditioner just came on.
It's about that here. Silly forecasters say once again that it might rain today. My pasture is brown.
so... whatchuh think of thehats?... took that picture just fer you...
You can have some of our rain, we've got far too much these days...
only a few werds... he's tryin' though... heh... he's gettin' durn fast on his feet...
Supposed to be in the 90's next week...woo hoo!
I'm sure mrsnad's just thrilled to have three to run after... though thegirl's probably a big help, I'd imagine. It'll be interesting to see them all at Entmoot05.
Found the wine rack...I'm getting closer.
I have the LOTR Risk game but I don't use their special rules. I just play the game like regular Risk.
That's right, you missed Entmoot.
