Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
there's flying...and Fenchurch!
Ok, baked the last cookie, packaged them, and all I hafta do is let it get to something close to lunchtime. I have to run to the bank anyway, if I want to deposit my pay this week, so I'll just do both errands at once.
Good morning all. My kids left a couple of hours ago for a weeks vacation in Fla. with their grandparents.
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaarghhhhhhhh!
The Pumpkin wont be coming for me until next Saturday!
Ouch...
Remind me to stay on your good side, 'kay?
Good morning!
must have more coffee...
Heh...I'm flattered you consider me a gardening type. I'd ask Nana or run to the Garden Center. But it sounds like something is eating them.
One of the others should have a better idea about what you need to put on them.
I think he just wanted the "woman" to think he was older than she was...
mmmmmm.....sausage
bastidges...
I gotta finish paintin' Jrs room this weekend (okay, so I have to start actually painting, but the room is ready). I remembered last night why I didn't take the closet door off and fixt it last time.
It's off now. Rather than try to fix the hinges that have been painted, I'm gonna just buy new ones.
Well...we'll see. I'm just not finding it to be as fascinating as others seem to think.
If you didn't like the first one, you probably won't like the others, either. It's something you have a taste for, or you don't. Do you like English humor, usually?
what I liked most about them was Douglas Adams's way with language
Speaking of which...I gotta buy you a drink at Entmoot 2005 for telling me about those little stovetop espresso thingies. I've always thought I'd never be able to afford an espresso maker...never knew I could get one for under fifteen bucks!
Of course, I did some searching and the true coffee snobs don't consider that espresso...but it's close enough for me. Very, very good. I'm glad I got that pot!
Certain phrases have a way of sticking with you: "hung in the air exactly the way a brick doesn't", "Your plastic pal who's fun to be with", "share and enjoy".
Sometimes.
I may come back to them. I've got a vey long list. But for right now they're just one that "you have to read this list" where I put Atlas Shrugged, On the Road and a few others...
I didn't "not" like it. But I finished it and it's kinda like "yeah? so?"
Glad you enjoyed your party, BTW! I didn't get a response in time...fooey on me for not sending a request earlier!
Just got an e-mail from the gal who was hosting it, though. She's gonna send me more info on the Young Republicans group that's just forming. Can't wait to find out more!
exactly!
