Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I'd better make a good list...otherwise I'm gonna forget to check for things and regret it later.
I love to make people laugh! Joshua even said I was the funniest mom he ever had!
:-D
I wuz just makin' a joke that fell flat...
I love some of the things they come up with. Josh is 6...right?
And actually, I haven't read the Guide. Just heard the radio show. It's on my list, though.
But right now I'm reading Kristin Lavransdatter, which makes LOTR look like light reading...so it'll be awhile.
I'm trying to make a concentrated effort to read more. Trying to read at lunch instead of FReepin'.
'Course I forgot to pick up a new book on my way out this morning.
He've five...he'll be six in October.
Matthew will turn 9 in a few weeks.
Morning! I'm proud of your exercising. Good job!
I got on the scale today. Turns out being ill has an upside, I was down near my lowest point. Now, I'll probably go up again because I'm taking today really off, for our going-away party. But it was still nice.
I feel like a slug, but I'm not really sick any more. At lunch today, I'm mailing cookies...
I usually read during lunch, if'n I don't get too caught up here. It's the only time I can really depend on...evenings at home are iffy. And I know it's far more so for you.
It helps that I work in the library...our office is inside the library here.
Last week Luke told a girl at the pool (or was it church?) that he was five. He won't be five until February...
Woo-hoo!
Glad to hear you're finally feeling better!
And scales are vey evil...but it's GREAT when they go our way once in awhile, isn't it?
Oh darlin' I'm so sorry I missed this...
y'all have our prayers... it's good to know that your momma is bathing in the glory of the Lord right now... travel safe, and come back home to us...
God's peace...
I just need to get myself organized enough that I can read at home. We're getting there.
What I'd really like to have is a screened in porch. We could use it 8-10 months out of the year.
I just hope you like the cookies as much as I do! My sisters have been fighting over who gets to watch them - I loaded the files onto one of their computers and they're taking turns with it.
And yeah, it's nice when the numbers on the scale are flattering. Even if it's probably going to change.
OK, gardening types...here's a question.
I planted runner beans in front of my house, and they came up and all that and are growing happily on the fence, BUT...a lot of the leaves are almost skeletal, and I'm finding lots of slugs near them. Is it the slugs that are doing that to 'em, and if so, how the heck do I get rid of them?
I think five must be a pretty important year in a man's life.
I'm OK with fluctuation (well...resigned is maybe a better word), so long as it's two steps forward and one step back. Though in my case it seems to be more like four steps forward and three steps back. Hard to be patient.
LOL!
itsmuhjob... headin' tuh town... gotta deliver a humiliatin' kick in the crotch to a feller that's taken over a week with muh tracter radiator, and still hasn't started on it...
