Jenna, who has an English degree from the University of Texas, plans to teach. "I'm just not political," said Jenna. "I have opinions, but there's nothing about the process that has ever interested me. I'm 22, and this is the first interview I've ever done in my life."

Big contrast to Amy Carter setting nuclear weapons policy at age 12 or Chelsea sitting in on high-level Middle East negotiations! Speaking of Jenna, the NY Daily News reports she's interviewed for a teaching job in Harlem. Take that, Bubba. Of course, the story makes more of her "wild child" reputation than of her professional goals.

In other news:

Denise Rich's daughter, Daniella, is tying the knot with real-estate maven Richard Kilstock on Aug. 15. ... The nuptials are being held in Marbella, Spain, so Daniella's father, fugitive commodities trader Marc Rich, can attend. [I thought the Clinton pardon freed Marc to return to the U.S.] (Page Six)

BWB, we've always known what a trendsetter you are - it's about time Courtney, Britney, Madonna, et al., started acknowledging how they've been ripping you off all these years!

Did Larry King chicken out of an interview with Michael Moore? King's CNN producers were negotiating to have the "Fahrenheit 9/11" director appear on the prime-time talk show. They even told Moore's camp they wanted a White House rep on the show to rebut anti-Bush points made in the documentary about the superheated U.S. climate after the 9/11 attacks. Then Moore's people never heard from King's people again. rest of story

Is there a difference between fundraising for the Democrats and prostitution?

Just saw some of the pictures of Jenna and Barbara in the August Vogue, they're gorgeous.

More proof dems are nasty people:

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Real estate developer and political fund-raiser Charles Kushner of Livingston, New Jersey, was charged by federal prosecutors Tuesday with conspiracy, obstruction of justice and interstate promotion of prostitution.

The indictment says Kushner recruited two individuals to hire a woman to have sex with the male witness and later instructed them to mail the videotape to the man's wife, who was the other cooperating witness in the investigation.

Kushner contributed to the campaigns of several prominent Democrats, including Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts and Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut, according to FEC records. Link

Sad to say this, but there really isn't much difference between Rat and Pubbie fund raisers. The only signifigant difference is the VALUES of the people they hit up for donations.

Thanks for the new thread, I know you're busy so I really appreciate it.

Still a couple of glitches with the computer. I need a video driver so I can get the full impact of Angie and her tats.

" Daschle denies hugging Michael Moore." We just can't resist passing along that headline from last week's Rapid City Journal in South Dakota. (A shame; we would have loved to see a picture.) The hubbub started after a Time magazine cover story said Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle met the controversial filmmaker at "Fahrenheit 9/11's" Washington premiere. Moore's quote: "He gave me a hug and said he felt bad and that we were all gonna fight [Bush] from now on. I thanked him for being a good sport." Nuh-uh, says Daschle. "I know we senators all tend to look alike. But I arrived late, and I had to leave early for Senate votes. I didn't meet Mr. Moore," he told South Dakota reporters in a conference call. Moore's reps said he stands by his comment.

• At least one Northern Virginia moviegoer walked out in a huff after watching just a half-hour of "Fahrenheit," and she wants our readers to know about it. Loyal Republican Lenora Tomalin, 81, called us to report that she left her relatives in their seats at the Regal theater in Sterling and headed for the lobby during the scene when Moore, in a voiceover, suggests thoughts President Bush might have had in a Florida classroom the morning of Sept. 11. "I was enraged . . . I thought it was very sophomoric," she says. "There was laughter and I would just cringe." Tomalin, who happens to be the mother of activist/actress Susan Sarandon, got a refund and promptly gave it to a charity supported by Regal. To cool down, she paced for a while, then waited patiently on a chair provided by the manager.

• Sen. John F. Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry had one of their mushiest public exchanges Monday at a fundraising luncheon that drew more than 1,000 Democratic women to a Boston hotel. "This woman has been unbelievable beyond words. . . . I publicly acknowledge, I married up," Kerry said to raucous applause. "She's grounded. She is pure woman: nurturing, loving, graceful, extraordinary in her reach, the way she envelops the world around her and people who come into contact with her. And so caring, so deeply believing that each of us and all of us can somehow change things and make a difference." [And so deeply loaded with cash!]

For her part, Heinz Kerry acknowledged "some initial doubts about my ability to be a good partner in this campaign. Whether or not I would hurt or I would help. Whether youth and strength is better than age and wisdom." Then she added, "I'm completely convinced that age and wisdom wins every time."

Heinz Kerry recounted her first meeting with the senator, a "young man," on Earth Day in 1990; she was introduced to him by her late husband, John Heinz. Both were scheduled to speak at an environmental rally on the steps of the Capitol. "About three years later, we kind of looked at each other as man and woman instead of environmentalist and environmentalist," she said. "When you get married when you're older, it's different from getting married as some young thing. . . . It's better, and it's not the same." Link

Good Morning. I just got off of the phone with Michigan Right to Life. The refused to send me a Right to Life survey even though pro-life is important to me and my campaign.

After 15 minutes of them explaining that it's against their policy to send a survey to my district, I explained that they are doing their supporters a disservice not allowing them to know that a candidate exists who shares their values.

So they are sending me a survey, but they probably won't endorse me because it's against their bylaws. I can't imagine not wanting to endorse a pro-life candidate. They even said " Well the right to life vote is only 2-3%". I told then that that was 2-3% that I will not ignore.

I am off for the next five days to visit my father in Florida. I am pretty nervous about it. I have not seen my father in 25 years. I don't know if he will recognize me at the airport. The last time he saw me I was 17, things have changed since then. I have no idea what we are going to do or talk about. We might end up staring at each other wondering who we are.

Please wish me luck. This is the most stressful thing I have ever done.

Hoping the best for your meeting and guessing that you're both much wiser than you were a quarter of a century ago.

Cheers.

HLL, I went through the same thing, though at age 17. I'm thankful for you that you have the confidence of your life experiences to guide you (as I did NOT). Hope that you return with good memories!

Since the Bush twins are getting fairly decent press, plus that great spread in VOGUE, it just would not be right not to have a syruppy piece about the Kerry daughters...'Nessa and A

The girls are described in this article as:"Alexandra, the tall brunette with model looks,..... Vanessa, a blonde with piercing blue eyes who resembles her dad...."

My only quibble is that the pic on the left should have been the cover shot.

Who wants to see Jacko's wife again on the cover?

THESE ARE ENTRIES TO A WASHINGTON POST COMPETITION ASKING FOR A RHYME WITH THE MOST ROMANTIC FIRST LINE BUT THE LEAST ROMANTIC SECOND LINE:

Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss But I only slept with you, because I was pissed.

I thought that I could love no other Until, that is, I met your brother.

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you. But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

Of loving beauty you float with grace If only you could hide your face.

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot This describes everything you are not.

I want to feel your sweet embrace But don't take that paper bag off of your face.

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife: Marrying you screwed up my life.

I see your face when I am dreaming. That's why I always wake up screaming

My love, you take my breath away. What have you stepped in to smell this way?

My feelings for you no words can tell Except for maybe "Go To Hell".

What inspired this amorous rhyme? Two parts vodka, one part lime.

Comedian Whoopi Goldberg will no longer appear in ads for diet aid maker Slim-Fast following her lewd riff on President George W. Bush (news - web sites)'s name at a fund-raiser last week, the company said on July 14, 2004. Florida-based Slim-Fast said it was 'disappointed' in Goldberg's remarks at last Thursday's $7.5 million star-studded fund-raiser at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Goldberg is seen in an ad for Slim Fast's 'Big Loser' campaign in a picture released December 30. Photo by Reuters (Handout) ********

Boy they sure got that ad campaign right from the get go. If a person is still looking to lose weight replace Whoopie and paste Witchy on your frig. That should do the trick.
