That's a most excellent question! That's the same question I asked of a publication by the same strange little constituency herd that posted the paragraph for this thread.

It's garbage. There are a cluster of people who are angry because our President won't bring back the Spectacle or something. It's likely that they're afraid of social programs being cut during his next term, which term is going to happen with or without them.

Look, lefties, if you don't want to re-elect our President, vote for Nader. Or go ahead and write in Milosovek, Hitler, or someone like that.

Also consider the following paragraph excerpted from the Reagan "Rendezvous with Destiny" speech 1964. (Reprinted in National Review Online, June 8, 2004).

"Not too long ago two friends of mine were talking to a Cuban refugee, a businessman who had escaped from Castro, and in the midst of his story one of my friends turned to the other and said, "We don't know how lucky we are."
