More on the Veepstakes. Two interesting points....(From NRO)

CHRISTOPHER HEINZ DOWN ON EDWARDS [06/18 08:22 AM] Kerry's stepson Christopher Heinz told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in a story published yesterday that he expected Kerry to make his announcement within two weeks, and that while Heinz had originally favored North Carolina Senator John Edwards to be Kerry's runningmate, his opinion had changed. ''I was very pro-Edwards in the spring," Heinz said. ''But now I think we may need someone with stronger credentials on foreign policy."

KERRY WANTS VEEP WHO WON'T "OVERSHADOW" HIM [06/17 11:10 PM] Here's the Post story: "Many of his friends said Kerry showed where they think his heart is by giving a 90-minute interview Wednesday evening to another rival from the primaries, Rep. Richard A. Gephardt (Mo.). Kerry considers the former House minority leader not only presidential and trustworthy but also unlikely to upstage or overshadow him on the campaign trail or in office, the sources said. Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack and Sen. Bob Graham (Fla.) appear very much in the running, too. Kerry met privately with Graham two weeks ago in Florida. Two Democrats close to Kerry said retired Gen. Wesley K. Clark's stock plummeted after the former Democratic presidential candidate received lackluster reviews from some former colleagues. No minorities or women are frequently cited by Kerry allies as top contenders." (When was the last time a Dem just ignored his major consitituencies like that...)

When it comes out a woman, the Press will fall all over themselves Calling it Brave, Brilliant, Daring, and testament to the Man. ( If I am not wrong, it will actually by Calculating, and too clever by half, but more clever than I generally give Kerry credit for, though Having the spotlight on a Woman VP candidate will also get tuhrayzza out of the limelight a bit, a big Plus for them.)

Then again I could be wrong.

Evanescence - Anywhere
From the album "Origin"

Dear my love, haven't you wanted to be with me
And dear my love, haven't you longed to be free
I can't keep pretending that I don't even know you
And at sweet night, you are my own
Take my hand

We're leaving here tonight
There's no need to tell anyone
They'd only hold us down
So by the morning light
We'll be half way to anywhere
Where love is more than just your name

I have dreamt of a place for you and I
No one knows who we are there
All I want is to give my life only to you
I've dreamt so long I cannot dream anymore
Let's run away, I'll take you there

We're leaving here tonight
There's no need to tell anyone
They'd only hold us down
So by the morning light
We'll be half way to anywhere
Where noone needs a reason

Forget this life
Come with me
Don't look back you're safe now
Unlock your heart
Drop your guard
No one's left to stop you

Forget this life
Come with me
Don't look back you're safe now
Unlock your heart
Drop your guard
No one's left to stop you now

We're leaving here tonight
There's no need to tell anyone
They'd only hold us down
So by the morning light
We'll be half way to anywhere
Where love is more than just your name

Wonder what KCI International's take is on this. 10-20 percent?
