In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Havent checked my mood ring yet. Yall behave yourselves, ya hear? Principal JimRob is still out of town. I expect the utmost respect on this thread today. The Mods have been overworked lately.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer.
Toroid noun:
Pronunciation: Tor-roid (how easy is that?)
1) A surface generated by the rotation of a plane closed curve about an axis lying in the plane and not intersecting it
2) A body whose surface has the form of a toroid.
3) Not in the dictionary, but in other words a DONUT would be toroidal (adverb). This is for xs and her Dunkin Donut friends. Id like a chocolate toroidal, please.
Sissy. He want accolades, obviously.
he was not my pet, he can look for accolades elsewhere.
Wow Truthie. I like number 9, number 9, number 9...

Thank you, thank you, Truthie. You made my day. A++++ for you.

Way to go! I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and thought, "Damn, I really am a flat-bellied, steely-eyed killer." My 34 waist slacks are getting a little loose.
Wonder what KCI International's take is on this. 10-20 percent?
ROTFL....I just had to buy all new 34's...
32 is my next destination.
A for you, Voice.
just tell me you aren't even thinking of checking in. Please.
I'm down 4 belt notches since January.
You guys are going to end up looking like teenaged boys if you lose any more. I am not aiming for my teen look. I'd be content with the pre-children look.
Absolutely beautiful, Darksheare. < applause >
of course i will, i will have the laptop and FR is a part of my daily routine. i won't be sitting here for hours at a time, but i will check in. i did the last time we were in Hawaii, 3 years ago, and had to use WebTV there to do it. hopefully the wireless connection will work this time.
LOL! A+ for you, Grimmy.
Ive got to share this with you all.
Jax likes to play act in front of the grandfathers clock where she can interact with her reflection. Well she was gibber jabbering away and I was pretty much not paying any attention (the clock is only about 5 feet behind my chair) That is until I hear her mention John Kerrys name.
I turned and asked her if she knew who John Kerry is and she said yes, hes a man that wants money. I said yes, and that he wants President Bushs job. She responded that we cant have that. She then proceeded to tell me that Kerry married a very rich woman who gave him all her money before he married her and so he shouldnt be asking anyone for more money.
It was all I could do not to just bust out laughing.
Cyber's word. He thought it would be a good "Friday" word. Sorry about your 'puter. Mine crashed last evening right after the ball game. Even Cyber couldn't make it right. He just shut everything down.
