In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Havent checked my mood ring yet. Yall behave yourselves, ya hear? Principal JimRob is still out of town. I expect the utmost respect on this thread today. The Mods have been overworked lately.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer.
Toroid noun:
Pronunciation: Tor-roid (how easy is that?)
1) A surface generated by the rotation of a plane closed curve about an axis lying in the plane and not intersecting it
2) A body whose surface has the form of a toroid.
3) Not in the dictionary, but in other words a DONUT would be toroidal (adverb). This is for xs and her Dunkin Donut friends. Id like a chocolate toroidal, please.
LOL!!!!!!
That's why I decided to get up - it's still nice and quiet!
I think she will sleep in late this morning..........we were reading until going on 11 last night..............way past her bedtime.
That would be logical, wouldn't it? But kids know nothing about logic. Just when you think they'll sleep in, they come tottering in at dark thirty, asking for breakfast. ;)
True..........but so far so good. normally she'd be up for about 45 minutes already by this time.
i am not 100% sure they will let the needles on, but we will have to see. i have smallish ones, and i packed some in the luggage to be checked, just in case they confiscate these. i wonder if they even let knitting needles on anymore, since they could do some damage!
the bigger ones are more logical and not adverse to sleeping in. Xsbrownie, is illogical and will get up at o'dark'thirty if she is looking forward to something or excited for some reason no matter what time she went to bed.
Illogical is right............my reprieve is over. As soon as she gave daddy his father's day presents she asked me "When are we going to start the laundry?"
SIGH..............
Well, I got it worse then you all.....my husband just announced over the weekend that he has to work split shifts entailing a second shift, but since it's ten to twelve hour days it goes till three am.........I have the daughter and the husband sleeping in and they dang well better leave me alone in the mornings, 'cause I like being alone! They better not get on the ellipical that he took six months to put together right when I want to use it........I will not share my morning computer time, I like reading the news in peace........this could certainly put a dent into my summer....(sigh)
You poor thing............
Mine decided to stay home today - which is fine by me - it means I don't have to add lawn mowing to the already long list of plans for the day!!!!!!!
Mine bought a brand new ridermower, he has yet to even hint that I should mow....works for me.
I can't figure out how to use his rider............and I am trying my best to avoid learning!
Split shifts just suck-my hubby worked them a few times in security right after he got out of the military, and it was wretched-my sympathies to you.
I was running around like mad this morning, fixing breakfast, making sure hubby had unpacked everything he needed for work, etc (he got in such a rush leaving on Wednesday that he nearly forgot to pack his skivvies) and herding him out the door to work-now I've got to hurry up and finish a bid I started yesterday...
he is still not sure what they are expecting. All his time isn't on this project - I think. Oh, well, we will survive this period. Round the clock shifts are bad for health......wish someone cared about that. I feel sorry for all who have to work all night and live such family/adverse lives. No one seems to care about those issues, it's just the lesb/victim types who get all the articles written about them.
I'll be posting a new thread in about ten minutes, you two!
Too, too funny -- Brian on Fox and Friends couldn't get his son's pitch back put together, it had all male parts, no female, it couldn't screw together...........LOL
ROFLMAO! I saw that, too!
I'll be waiting, too...
Thank you, ladies, for the Father's Day wishes.
