In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today. Havent checked my mood ring yet. Yall behave yourselves, ya hear? Principal JimRob is still out of town. I expect the utmost respect on this thread today. The Mods have been overworked lately.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer.
Toroid noun:
Pronunciation: Tor-roid (how easy is that?)
1) A surface generated by the rotation of a plane closed curve about an axis lying in the plane and not intersecting it
2) A body whose surface has the form of a toroid.
3) Not in the dictionary, but in other words a DONUT would be toroidal (adverb). This is for xs and her Dunkin Donut friends. Id like a chocolate toroidal, please.
His beheader was just killed by the Saudis!
He's up and down right now - the dog's head meeting his cheek really caused a problem.
Hopefully he will be much better tomorrow.
I was reading that thread before I realized it was time for my Friday night chat group......
I don't believe it............I don't disbelieve he's dead, I don't believe that they couldn't have done it sooner.
He is a hunk and a half or maybe more. He lost 60 pounds by working out and watching his caloric intake. OMG if I were 20 (or so) years younger (and not married), I would be in the front seat telling him funny stories. Whooohooooo!
Jim and Sheila are truly two of the funniest people I have met. Sheila bounces words off of Jim, and Jim just smiles the widest smile you've ever seen. Great, great couple.
He didn't know we called him Principal Robinson. He got a great giggle out of that one. Also told him two years ago we blew up his house at summer camp. LOL!
I told Sheila with her great wit that she should FReep in WFTD. Jim then piped in and said he would have to ban her, then she would come back in and ban him! They are so funny.
More funny stories to come later.
Thank you for meeting with us, Jim. We had a ball!
Did you just see that three Alabama LEO's were murdered while serving a misdemeanor search warrant? What the heck is going on today?
COOL!!!!
Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to hear more.
Who knows.
Howdy everyone! Checking in from Kingman, AZ.
We had a great time in Phoenix. Thank you very much, Cyber and Slip18.
Jim

you HAVE to go to DSW, there is nothing like it and i guarantee you will love it.
sorry Gabz, it was in Cambridge MD at a place called Sailwinds. it took 3 hours to get there bc traffic was so bad, we literally got there as it was starting. very nervewracking drive. it was 9 hours door to door, for drive to and from and duration of the concert. It was his father's day present, so i smiled and made nice, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. he had fun though!
that is the coolest thing i have ever heard. you need to send it into animal planet if you get it filmed! they would love that!
how is his poor face. i think i must have missed what happened to it this week, gabz. why is his face hurting?
I'm familiar with Cambridge. about an hour and a half from me.
I'm sure traffic was horrendous.......Friday night beach traffic is what it is called.
I'm glad he enjoyed himself, and you're a good girl for doing it!
he has an absessed tooth. The swelling started Wednesday and he was sick as a dog by Tursday afternoon. the antibiotics seem to be working.
