We had simple and the Church, too! It can be done, and I even have a big family; lots of cousins!
I didn't do a sit down dinner or anything like that. The attendants wore dresses that had been made for them and were the same pattern as mine, except theirs were mango! The groomsmen didn't wear tuxes, just suits. We had punch, cake and cookies in the Church Hall after the wedding, but then went to Mama's house for the family and friends get together, which was just about everyone who'd come to the wedding! There we had baked ham, fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, and more sweets! It was a lot of fun, and the aunts did it as a gift!
I bet it was alot more meaningful than one of those 'store-bought' weddings too.
