Thank you all for coming! And for everyone watching and participating from home via that camera, we hope you can enjoy the day ~almost~ as much as being there!
"Hullo! Finally at the office. The traffic was dreadful, took 30 minutes to get through a three mile stretch between the turnpike off-ramp and my turn off... and the scale's higher, but I know why (that time, you know)."
Why when I was reading that did I suddenly envision the scene from "Office Space" where the guys start smashing the computer? :)
My task for the afternoon is to get advance tickets for "Spiderman 2" next Wednesday.
What a good son I am.
My Mom just got the flowers and the cake. It is rare that I can sense real surprise and appreciation in her voice (she's always gracious and appreciative, but this was different).
*sigh* I'm such a good boy...
"As one universe destabilises, another gains stabilty in equal amount."
Hmmm--that might also explain why whenever Clark Kent disappears, Superman appears. . .
"We see it in thread as one thread dies or is turned wacky, another thread suddenly shoots up by a hundred posts and gets serious."
And inversely, if one thread turns serious, another turns series :)
Yeah, it's only going to be 70s this week.
I have to get my hair done this weekend. I really want to get a nice job done. But... that's expensive. Maybe I'll try out one of the home-highlighting kits I've seen... I looked in the mirror this morning and there was an inch of roots, so it's time.
Why'd you send her the stuff (must have missed it)?
Go over to the Religion forum and post a thread about Joseph Smith and you'll get PLENTY of heat.
"Just wait until I've been back here awhile and my energies are built back up. ;^)"
True--thread-killing energy takes time to charge up. I find that rewatching Bakshi usually helps build up the required negative energy :)
I don't want the energies built back up THAT bad!
Is it her birthday?
.
.
.
Izzit time to go home yet?
oooh, oooh, did I kill the thread?
LOL! See, the Bakshi energy is so powerful it repels even hardened thread killers :)
guess not.
I think you have to wait longer than two minutes before it counts as killing the thread, LOL! Is there an official time we have to wait before a thread is legally dead?
Someday a sociology/anthropology PhD candidate is gonna have a field day with FR.
Probably at least 10 minutes.
I'd call time of death after 10 mintues.
You need to take de-tox with Corin. Aren't the Mormons the reason you got suspended that time?
Did I mention to you that I went to the PCA General Assembly one day last week, to sing for them? It was really neat. The Assembly managed to pass something calling on Congress to support a marriage amendment or whatever they have to do... surprising because our denomination doesn't like getting involved in politics.
"Someday a sociology/anthropology PhD candidate is gonna have a field day with FR."
They could study the sociology of hobbits, dwarves, and elves! :)
Nah, thread-death is at least fifteen minutes. After all, in college one waits fifteen minutes for the professor to show up. Aren't we all much more interesting than some boring English teacher?
