Well, I went to the store to get some more caramel DaVinci sugar-free syrup to put in my coffee and found they were out...they didn't have any sugar-free except 2...raspberry and Kahlua.
I got the Kahlua.
It's got a recipe on the bottle for a flavored drink using cream, seltzer and this syrup...gonna have to try it! I'm off to the store!

$177 Mill. in tomorrow nights mega millions. I put us in for 5 bucks. I don't see how we can lose.
With that kind of money I could pay most of my bills!

Afternoon, Hole! I went to the Chinese restaurant for lunch today and had General Tsow's chicken, which I see was mentioned earlier in the thread in a discussion I'm glad I missed before lunch :) Then I went to the museum and library. At the library I found "Princess Bride" was in, so I finally got a chance to check that out so that y'all won't be able to make fun of me anymore for not having seen it. Finished a couple more chapters of "Goblet of Fire" and got some writing on my novel done. That's my exciting news for the day so far. Hope everyone else is having a great day!

I was looking at "Ringworld" at the library today and it got me wondering, is the title of "Discworld" alluding to that?

Well, the report is done. She-who-needs-ritalin didn't let me have a second look at it before she handed it off to management to review. They'll have comments, I'm sure, and suggestions for revisions... but I'll be in Florida and SWNR will be on her own. :)
Also, three of the five bunnies have hopped off to have adventures in the big world. The other two are hiding under the beets. Myrtle the turtle showed up, again. He's a funny character.

Possibly. Both refer to the shape of the planet...thing. Whatever.
Leaving for a movie. Cool sister has offered to let me in to Terminal, free. Can't beat that.

Glad the report is done! Are the bunnies the Peter Cottontail bunnies?--it's been a while since I read that :) Speaking of turtles, there've been a bunch here this week laying eggs. Didn't see any today yet, though.

"Fedora! Did you kill the thread????"
Sorry! It was actually Darksheare's fault, though. I saw him post the other day and that was enough to transmit some of his thread-killing powers to me. Strong with the Dark Side of the Force, Darksheare is.

Let me know how that flavor is! I can't get DaVinci locally, but I found a place that has a decent price for it on-line. Had a really good dinner, if I do say so myself. Frozen shrimp was wayyy on sale the other day, so I got a big bag. Tonight I melted a bunch of butter, cooked minced onion and garlic in it until they were soft, added white wine, and a little lemon and lime juice, and then added the shrimp and cooked it until it was done. Whoa. Good. Also had cauliflower and spinach, both of which I love...so a very good meal.
I have leftovers for tomorrow! And I only used a little bit of the shrimp. I'll have to make that again.

Your formating was fine...by the time I got to the end of that first paragraph, I was drooling!! Sounds delicious!
I intended to make myself a wrap, but didn't have any steak left from last night (Steve musta took it to work with him.) So I just made myself a bacon and cheddar cheese taco.

I've never been to Maine, but I kind of like the music...Some of yer best stuff is wasted on the younger hobbits.
To: RosieCotton
I'll fix the drink right now. The recipe is
1 oz heavy cream
1 oz sugar-free Kahlua-flavored syrup
6 oz selter
Pour over crushed ice.
