I am! That's part of the whole attitude adjustment thing that occured sometime while I was at WeddingMoot. I just don't let it bother me. Not even my mom really bothers me anymore.

I feel like I underwent that same hypnotherapy that fella in Office Space had. The "I don't give two hoots" vibe is just radiating from me now.

I feel brave. Silly, huh? But I figure if I can fly clean across the country all by myself...I must be pretty courageous.

They could roadtrip and g'nad could 'accidentally' take Jr home with him. Two birds, one stone.

Not silly at all, actually. I felt the same way when I came back from Kansas City. It was my first trip all by myself doing something just for me. It's quite liberating! :-)

The failing grades are because he neither does nor turns in homework.

So what are you grounded from for not making sure the homework was at least done?

Oh! I know! No more pool presidency for you young dwarf! Now get to your cave!

Bob Slydell: If you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Bob Slydell: Great.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door--that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh--after that I sorta space out for an hour.
Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

Go ahead, pour salt in the wound.

Truth is, that up until Luke came along Mrs. did all the keepin' up with the homework. And school work got done and in on time. 'Course that was 5th grade. With Luke being so high maintenance I took over the supervision of the schoolwork.

He highly resented me having anything to do with it. And it caused behavior problems, so I backed off with the (what I thought anyway) understanding that the wife would step back in.

We went from Luke to her starting a new job to her dad getting sick to Nana moving in...wife was distracted and, quite frankly, did not follow through. It is difficult to discuss it with her in such specific terms because she feels guilty about it.

During that time was when the doctor kept wanting to try "new" medications. That's when I put my foot down.

Wife has made the promise to stay on top of things this year. If not, she don't get to play football either...

You tracked in a turd on the carpet there ksen... If you pick it up quick, maybe the rest of the party won't notice.

I had to have "the talk" with all three of mine the other day.

But now I can walk on the boys' floor and not get stabbed by legos in the night. And the dishes actually stay clean and put away.

You're doing the right thing Corin to straighten things up.

But you know, sometimes it really stinks being the Dad.
