Thank you all for coming! And for everyone watching and participating from home via that camera, we hope you can enjoy the day ~almost~ as much as being there!
You only got that because I had to rephrase my reply on another thread four times to avoid saying something that would get me banned for life.
I love that site. He's got the only blog I really read daily.
I had it on too, right before I left for work. I think I counted 6 times in the first 5 min. they referred to the gathering as a HUGH CROWD!!! I thought - if it had been a crowd for a Reagan book they would have said 'a few extremist Republicans are loitering the area', maybe once if they mentioned it at all.
You have my axe.
Thank you, Master Dwarf. You're very kind.
Sheesh, I didn't mean to get into a debate this afternoon.
Oh gosh Rosie, I just had a look at that. Funny!! Especially so because I have many of those old cookbooks. At lest 6 of the Better Homes and Gardens, including the Meat Meat Meat. lol
You HAVE those cookbooks? Oh, my. Are the recipes bad, or just the pictures?
Butters (as Professor Chaos) and General Disarray start to launch "Evil Plot 4-B", which is to blot out the sun with an 80 foot high by 50 foot wide giant shade. General Disarray informs him that they already did that on The Simpsons. Professor Chaos looks for another plan. . .At the home of General Disarray, Professor Chaos arrives with the results of his latest scheme. He has removed the head from the statue in the town's square. The local news coverage reminds him that this same event occurred in a classic episode of the The Simpsons. Everyone in town is delighted at the prank and prefers to leave it headless so that they can always be reminded of this classic show. Professor Chaos is bummed out. . .Professor Chaos lays out "Plan #123-D" (monorail) for General Disarray, who informs him "The Simpsons already did it in episode 204(sic)". The Simpsons have also already done his plans #124-A (web site gossip) and #129-E (buried angel) as well. . .Professor Chaos is informed that The Simpsons have already done plans #127-C (soccer riot) and #125-E (shaken beer can). Discouraged, Professor Chaos decides he might just run away and join the circus, until he is informed "The Simpsons did it.". . .Professor Chaos is hit upon a scheme that they haven't already done, that is to replace the contents of a cherry with "yukky, sticky mayonnaise." General Disarray comments that The Simpsons' scheme would have been more clever. When they are ready to leave to execute this evil scheme an ad comes on for tonight's episode of The Simpsons in which Bart is going to replace the contents of a chocolate covered cherry with mayonnaise. . .Professor Chaos is seeing The Simpsons in everyone and everywhere he goes. . .
Yes, I'm afraid so. I use them - uh - now and then. I have one I use a lot from the BH & G series- the Canning and Preserves one. And the Gifts for the Holidays too. And, lol the Poultry one too. I have a lot of other really great cookbooks too, including "White Trash Cooking' which is a really cool one, especially fond of the pictures in it too, it has really good pics.
Yeah, the pics were an early representation of pictorial marketing?
Ugh, do you really hate me? South Park gives me nightmares.
I dunno. "Meat Meat Meat" might be popular these days, what with Atkins.
See you all at Shirestock 2005!!
mmmmm...brownies...
"Ugh, do you really hate me? South Park gives me nightmares."
It was just a bit of fun! :) You did just give me an idea for another fanfic, though. It begins with a Harry Potter fan having nightmares about a crossover between HP and South Park. . .only it turns out it's worse than a nightmare. She falls asleep, only to wake up trapped in South Park--kinda like Kivrin gets trapped in the Middle Ages in "Doomsday Book", except the plague here is far more frightening: all the HP characters are turning into South Park animated characters. Can the heroine save Hogwarts from Voldemort's South Park curse before it's too late? Because if she doesn't, the South Park plague will also cross over into her own world, as it seems South Park Wormtail has escaped through the gate between worlds. . .
I'm leaving now and taking all my toys with me. You're too scary to play with.
Come back! You still haven't heard the end of story where Voldemort reveals he's really Ralph Bakshi and he wants to remake the HP movies in rotoscope animation. . .
~sniff~
We are unbelievably thankful to have so many wonderful friends.
So don't screw it up ecurbh!
I shall not let you down, Master Dwarf!
Uh-oh. Is this going to be the Catch-Up Funkle of Doo-OOO-ooo-OOO-oom?
