Heh, well, at least you were pronouncing "Hermione" right, weren't you? I thought it was "Hermy-own" for weeks.

Ugh... so tired... had to hang out in the bookstore for an hour and a half so that the person my sister was to talk to would show up. Not that I'd usually complain, but I have two stacks of books I'm reading here (one subset of Pratchett's Discworld books, and an Arthurian series my dad tossed at me last night - author is Jack Whyte, it's pretty good so far, but I've got like ten books and a hundred years to go....)

Yawn. Not sure I'll be on much tonight, I think I'm going to go read.

Um. . .not until I saw the movie :) It's "Her-MIa-nee", right?

So did you read anything interesting while you were stuck in the bookstore?

The mean bus driver just got trapped in a bus full of kids he used to drive--when they were still alive. . .This movie is creepy!!!

Her-my-own-ee.

Yeah, I read some manga... looking for a new series to get into "Yuyu Hakusho" (sp?) is pretty good in a weird way. Now I'm working through the Arthurian series, only I've been good today so I'm going to watch one episode of Fruits Basket before bed.

Hi everybody!

I just got back a few minutes ago. Wow my cat is skinny! :)

I think the lemon verbena and the dianthus are dead. The to-baccy is doing well, aphids are back on the pepper plants, and I need to get some tomato cages.

I lost 2J in the airport. We never did say where we were going to meet. I figured I'd finish checking the luggage and then go back to the American ticket place and meet up with her. That didn't happen. She was going to get some souvenirs for the Jedis so I went through security (all the shops were past security). Still didn't find her. Oh well. I got a sandwich for lunch and went down to wait for the plane.

Wonder what there is around here to eat?

"Her-my-own-ee."

Good--I got it right then :) Took me a while, though--for some reason even after hearing it in the movie I keep getting tripped up because as soon as I look at it on paper I want to pronounce it wrong again :)

What's "Yuyu Hakusho" about? BTW I'm planning to start "Scrapped Princess" after I finish the next Potter book.

Hi there! Glad your journet ended safely.

How busy was the airport? I've been hearing horror stories on the news today about how busy it was there yesterday... just wondered if it was that way today.

I think the lemon verbena and the dianthus are dead.

Dianthus is s'posed to be an annual right? We had some last year that did well. But they actually came back this year. Didn't bloom much tho, but they're still alive. I'm thinkin' they won't be long...

I am back from the swim meet where I cooked 140 burgers, 5 dozen hot dogs and precisely 47 million fries...I smell like grease and smoke. Did I mention I don't have a kid on the team? 77 days ~ but after I heard tonite that the male half of the former President/Treasurer/Chemical Manager said "I'm not going to have anything more to do with those people." (after he ordered all the chemicals, including crap we don't need), I'm inclined to want to be around just to be a pain in their backsides. Their daughter is a lifeguard and will likely be around a couple more years. But, I'm pretty sure that's not worth it...

Opted not to go on to the gym or on to Walmart. May go early in the morning to one or the other, or both (more likely not). Am staying home to watch the Today show. Jr's choir is s'posed to be outside there tomorrow. I figgere they won't miss 140 kids all wearin' the same style t-shirt.

It seemed pretty busy to me, but then I don't know what it's like normally...long lines to drop people off at the curb, long lines at the check in and security. Everything was moving pretty quickly, though.

Everything was moving pretty quickly, though.

That's encouraging... news was talking about people spending three hours in line and missing their flights on Sunday. Hopefully it will be less busy tomorrow when we fly...

FYI Beach Driving: dropping your tire pressure down to 18 psi vastly increases performace in the sand by widening the tire's footprint and puts less strain on the transmission.

Sounds like a great tip RB!

Hey Bear! Hey Rose! How was the beach?

We are still at the beach house, Ramius has taken Ruthy and WN on a boat ride. We'll leave here I think within the hour and come down there for some burgers on the grill and s'mores tonight around the fire.

Uhmm, well, neither one of us felt up to it, so we didn't go anywhere.

We'll leave here I think within the hour and come down there

Cool! We'd like to come over for a little while anyway to say "Bye"... won't stay too late, as I want to leave for the airport early tomorrow morning.
