AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1244) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | June 17, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 06/17/2004 4:20:37 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

UOx42 tells Dan Rather he feels his being the only elected President ever to be impeached as a "badge of honor"!

Dan Rather, in his turn, gives UOx42's book, My Li[]e, five stars.

An explosion rocks central Baghdad, and at least 25 are dead with scores injured.

The Club for Growth, bowing to the wishes of the Reagan family, will hold off airing ads that show the similarities between the President and Ronald Reagan, and the differences between the late commander-in-chief and Sen. John Effin Kerry.

The Post Office announced they will issue a Ronald Reagan stamp next year.

And, finally, all are not happy with the coverage provided to former President Reagan's funeral activities. New York Times' Frank Rich writes in a column to be published Sunday: the gratuitously attenuated aerial shots of the hearse streaking on California freeways to Simi Valley carried an eerie visual echo of the [O.J. Simpson] Bronco chase. Then there was this from Morley Safer: The dirty little secret of the week: The outpouring didn't live up to its hype. 'There was this kind of extraordinary outpouring not by the public but by reporters who should know better. They just can't stand it when they're not the center of attention.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Mornin toots.

I guess we got some kind of rain last night.

I had a fitful nights sleep.

Off to the shower now as work calls.

I am happy for us both that today is Friday.

Amen! For once, it looks like we have no rain in the forecast!

What is a 'weekend'? And why is everybody excited about them?

I couldn't sleep.

And that is a bad thing. I could use some uplifting today. Until about the 25th of June. I hope.

I'm glad that you guys don't have rain in the forecast. Lord knows you've had enough to last for a while.

Sometime on Saturday, I've got the wedding reception to work. I really want this to go well. The bride and groom are really nice folks.

I worry about being so tired and missing something. Grump....

Oh, I am so sorry you didn't sleep well! I know how frustrating that is.

Regarding the wedding reception, I will tell you this, as a customer of a catering service that did my daughter's wedding. If the food is better than airplane food, if the staff is friendly and helpful, and if the presentation is attractive, the wedding guests will be mightily impressed, even if you forget some dish or a casserole is missing an ingredient. No one expects perfection, but pretty good food served attractively with a gracious staff impresses everyone. You will do well.

HA! That is great, and pretty close to real life!

By the way, there is an AP story posted that says that RUSSIAN intelligence told us in 2002 that Iraq was planning on attacking the US. It is an unssourced story, so I remain a bit skeptical, but if Putin backs it up, that will pretty much shut up everyone from the NYT to Michael Moore. Well, maybe not Michael Moore, but Kerry will look like a fool.

IF is the key word here. I don't think we can expect Putin to step forward even if it's true.

Good morning!

Don't know what the heck I'm doing up. Couldn't get to sleep last night, and that never happens. Will be with offspring and grandbabies all day today. Going to the lake to celebrate Father's Day. Will probably fade way too early.

Good Morning. 61 degrees here this morning at 5:00 am. Scattered showers predicted for today but clear skies are in store for the weekend.

Miss Maple, I'm beginning to notice that you are getting my weather a day late. Once the Jet Stream changes, I'd expect this will change.

Well, I know that is probably a pipe dream, although I distinctly remember Putin at a press conference with Bush pulling out Madeline Albright's letter dismissing Russia's interest in NATO and talking about how he liked President Bush because he treated Russia with respect.

It is one of my all-time favorite live television moments...the reporters sitting there with their mouths open while Putin talked about how intelligent and forward-thinking President Bush is. LOL!

Nobody will know about it...it will stay as an AP story

The wedding people will be delighted with your food and service. I do, however, worry about you not getting very much sleep. Do take good care of self........if you get the chance.

I am so sick of clinton's junk book/life stuff ALREADY! He is delusional and transparent, and I cannot believe so many fall for his lies and deceit. He is such a phoney!

I think I'm ready. I have a stack of stuff to take with me. Safety pins, Wet Ones, extra umbrellas, hair spray, rain slicker, just the 'usual' stuff.
