Hey hey, radu!! How nice to see you. Cute graphic.
Perfect day here 75F and no rain. WOO HOO!
To: bentfeather
Hiya ms. feather.
Boy, would we LOVE to have a high of 75 degrees!! If we're lucky, it cools off to that at night. Summer's definitely here, full-tilt!
No rain for two days but there were some scattered showers today. Of course, that meant when the sun came back out it was a sauna. Typical summer weather in TN. LOL!

IN-NO-CENT? You'd better be careful. My Momma used to tell me that lightning would strike if one told "stories". hehehe!

See? Told ya. *giggle*
Try to stay outta mischief this evenin'.....if ya can. *grin* I gotta head out. Hubby's been out of the shower for a bit and is champing at the bit to go get some supper. I've definitely gotta hose off before we go or they won't let us in the restaurant. We were both drenched in sweat by the time we left the cruise-in this afternoon. Fun but hotter 'n Hades.
With a little luck, I'll be back after we get home tonight.

Went hiking myself, on the stub of the Appalachian Trail off of 519/623. (Or whatever it's called at that section!)
Terrorised a group of turkey.
For a few seconds it looked like I was herding a bunch of turkey down the trail.

We have a few turkeys that live at the back of the farm. It's fun to watch the cats try to stalk them, then run like h*ll when the turkeys go after them. ROTFLOL!! Those buggers are MEAN!

My Eulogy

If I was gone tomorrow, would I be missed?
When I am gone and my name is on St. Peter's list,
I want people to go on with their lives as normal,
A simple tribute will do, nothing formal.
If I was gone tomorrow, would I be satisfied,
Would I have accomplished something before I died?
Have I made an influence in anyone I've met?
Did I change someone's life before in the ground I am set?
If one person is better because of me,
If only for a minute a smile I did see,
Then I believe that it was worth all the time I was here
And I hold in my heart all my friends close and dear.
If I was gone tomorrow, would people even care?
Would they even notice that I was not there?
I know some people would not be upset about me
Those people, at my funeral I would not see.
If no one was there, I would be sad,
But in a way, I would be glad.
I don't want anyone to be sad that I am not here,
I don't want them to be sad or even shed a tear.
I want to see them with a smile on their face,
And not to see sadness in this case,
I just want them to be happy that they knew me,
And for them to know that I am finally set free.
I will still be around anyhow,
Even though they cannot see me now.
I'll still be here to help heal hearts,
Maybe now I can stop the pain before it starts.
So do not be sad that I have gone away,
Because in your heart, I will stay.
As long as you continue to believe,
There is no real reason to grieve.
I'll still be around somewhere near,
And you can call on me, and I'll be here.

Good morning Sam!
Lovely graphic this morning. Interesting poem today. We all think about death, the ultimate trip, what impact our being alive has made or not made on those around us.
We all do gone on in someone's memory, and in that way we never leave.
Thank You for all you give to the Lair each day, for your friendship and being SamWolf.
Waxing poetic here! :-)
To: SAMWolf
Thanks for the music and tunes today as always.

Well.. I once had the 'call of nature' while out hiking and was caught by a turkey tom while thus 'defiling' his territory.
After said turkey attack, details I won't get into just right now, I eat them out of vengeance.

Good nite poets
May the sweet aroma of Lily of the Valley fill your dreams caress your face tenderly lull you to sleep in the safety of knowing love...
~ Dream a Little ~ Love a Lot ~
I remember the color your hair was... the color of spiced rum With memories of you walking without me in gentle oriental rain Left me with dreams of being lost in your embrace. The peace in your eyes shone through I was lost, lost in your eyes ..........lost in your embrace... Dreams of you at Indian Twilight...
