"...hit two clay birds at a time..."

Ya think maybe he's been shooting before? LOL! I'm so happy for all of you that the weather and the company was all good.

If the Brits pull out, don't bother asking for help when 9/11 comes to your shores. And they have a militant muslim problem all ready.

One of our firearms historians will have to explain why they call it "skeet shooting" when you're shooting "clay pigeons." ;)

I found this much info on m-w.com:

Main Entry: skeet
Pronunciation: 'skEt
Function: noun
Etymology: perhaps from Norwegian skyte to shoot
: trapshooting in which clay targets are thrown in such a way as to simulate the angles of flight of birds

That explains why the clay targets are sometimes called "clay pigeons," but I'd think the Norwegian roots make it redundant to use "skeet" and "shooting" together. LOL

I know...when I first typed my response, I said clay pigeons, but thought I really don't know if that is what they are called. So I googled "skeet" and saw the reference to "shoot". Maybe somebody knows the answers.

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are,God is,
And all is well.
Amen.

Bless This House

Bless this house O Lord we pray;
Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout,
Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall,
Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove
ever open to joy and love.

Bless these windows shining bright,
Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there,
with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within,
keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be
Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we
May dwell O Lord with thee.

Hmmmm
If I clobber them beforehand...
They'll come out of there ALREADY in pieces..
If I go BLAM! real quick..it'll look like I hit it!
What a concept!
Now, how do I bribe the guy that shoots the clay birds?
Hmmmmm
Ms.B
