Have you read the bile that is being posted about Reagan on Democrat Underground???

I am not sure if this is proper FR edicate, but I was curious to know how DU was reacting to Ronald Reagan's passing. As you can imagine, many comments were dispicable, but it is amazing to see what hate drives people to say. For example:

(Im sipping some excellent German white wine now)

To Ronald Reagan,

...may you rot in hell you sorry evil creep!

>clink glasses<

Or how about this?

I just uncorked some wine that Ive laid up for special occasions, so as to celebrate.

"Good riddance, and I piss on his tombstone (metaphorically speaking").

Or this is a keeper...

Whoopee!!

I can hardly believe I outlived the old bastard!

Where do I go to piss on his grave?

I hear that DU stands for Demonicrap Underpants. (;-) And it is wise to stay clear of DU for one's own health and safety. I believe attitudes are infectious, and it is best to spend time with the "good" (FR) to minimize the "evil" (DU).

Granted, I know it is smart to know what the enemy is thinking. However, I'd rather follow Reagan's wise example. Reagan was a true gentleman, who stood his own ground on his own terms, and he didn't allow attacks from DU types to discourage his positive focus. He obviously had the inward peace and strength to stay the course while enduring the enemy attack.

Reagan will RIP. Now, Reagan has undoutedly arrived at the ultimate PEACE. Peace while in the Lord's presense. That is The REAL God's Heaven. BTW - "Islam-demon-ic virgins" not included, thank God!

Pesonally, I'm content and happy with my wife and our mortal life here on Earth and praise God for the promise of our spiritual (eternal) home in Heaven with God! After meeting The Almighty God, then I suppose I can also meet Reagan in spirit too. And meet him in a land that is void of disdain for those who worship God the Father thru Jesus his Son. "Better is one day in his house than thousands elsewhere."

unbelievable. just unbelievable.

DU truly is the secret opening to Hell. Wailing, gnashing, and Gore2000 bumper stickers. Take another drink, my friends. Celebrate, laugh, and toast to another American Hero's death. Let the hatred flow. Until it consumes you.

I suggest you ask the moderator to remove your post. I know you meant well, but I believe all this will do is bring up anger at a time of sorrow. You know what is in the sewer, why open it up ?

Please, don't dredge up the vile DU stench.

I disagree.

Though I personally wouldn't have posted a thread for such, since it's mentioned in other places already, this is one of those moments in Life when you need to know thy Enemy.

Don't brush off and turn your backs to those who would put a shiv in it in a nanosecond.

Please go to the FR Reagan Vigil thread and pledge to organize/attend a vigil for Ronald Reagan in your area!

Do you think anyone here doesn't already know what those idiots are saying? We don't need it here! We don't need to fall into their designs of putting out negative propaganda about one of our country's greatest and most beloved presidents.

Actually, I've been amazed at the occasional query "what's a DU'er" around here, by those with sign up dates going back years.

You have only so many minutes in a day, and only so many days in your life.

They are all precious.

Can you really afford to waste them by going anywhere near DU?

If and when Clinton ever passes, I hope and think that Freeper threads won't be along the lines of this (DU haters). Or like Andrew Sullivan dancing on Strom Thurmond or Bob Hope's grave the day or so of their death because they once made comments/jokes about the Sullivan-like lifestyle.

Also, as one who has lobbied for putting Reagan on Mount Rushmore, I will say that Clinton's comments were gracious and thoughtful. See...I'm not a hater. Let's leave that to the DUHs.

I joke about Clinton, but don't have 1/1000th of the hatred toward Clinton as the typical DUer has for Reagan or GW. They truely are vile people.

I also used to go to sci fi cons a lot - last one I went to, I got in trouble for being a Rush listener and will never forget that. Those folks had tolerance for every possible political belief, spiritual way, sexual orientation, etc. - as long as it wasn't Christian and/or Republican!

The DEMONcrats are showing their true colors. Hey, they think the killing of the unborn is a right and a choice, so nothing they do surprises me.

Let us teach us. We must not act like this when Clinton dies.

You have a good point. I certainly would hope that the people of FR would never act like that, no matter how they felt about the person. I also wondered if the situation were reversed, would it be any different? Not to disparage FReepers, but there are some people who feel very strongly about the Clintons and I hope they would rise above the pettiness that the folks on DU are showing.

.." I did not gloat, nor rejoice. "...

Good for you. You are much better off without all that nastiness that some people exhibit. I hope that I will always remember to extend tolerance to others if I want to experience it myself. I have friends and co-workers who are Democrats and we have agreed to disagree on some issues. I am sort of a minority in the school where I work and have had people actually tell me they were surprised I am a Republican because of how I treat others. I hope that means I am leading by example and can get them to re-think some of their preconcieved ideas.

LOL!

When I worked at Caitlin's school, and people found out that i was a conservative, they about fell over!

"But you're, NICE....!".

One guy actually tried to get me to ammend it, by prompting me with, "But that's just forgeign affairs, right? I mean SOCIALLY......"

When I worked at the movie theatre, we had a young black guy who played in a funk band. He and i would soometimes talk, and he too, told me, "I had no idea conservatives could be like you!"

( Because i would sometimes give him a ride home, or because I brought cookies and donuts in for the crew...)

I get the same thing, people tell me that I'm a Republican with a heart, like they are surprised. I figure I am overcoming their prejudices one person at a time by setting a good example. I just don't undestand why everyone buys into that whole "mean-spirited" thing so easily. I guess if you hear it often enough.....

Please. If these people had class, good taste, sense, decency and genuine kindness they wouldn't be at Demcratic Underground.

They cannot diminish the brightness of that shining star, Ronald Reagan. They hence will seek to leave a trail of bile leading to his grave.

The love I've seen for the Great Man from this distance indicates they've already failed.

Regards, Ivan

Y'all: I'm getting a sense that Reagan's death and memorial will help wake up America to conservatism. At least I hope it builds and sustains a TRUE patriotic concept for our country. Perhaps then we can dub it the "Reagan Revolution - Part II". Hearing his words again and hearing them with great interest is such an inspiration for me. And I'll bet there are thousands, if not millions who feel the same way.

Oh, another thought - if the left-wing is so nasty then this is a good thing. And they are angry because Reagan roughed them up big-time. Reagan proved them wrong then and they are still in denial now.

"Reaganomics" and challenging the Soviet Union to "tear down this wall" led to the freedom for hundreds of millions from communist oppression. And those facts are too much for left wing liberals to be reminded of. Their strategy is to disparage Reagan as a person and leader, however imbecile that reaction is considering the nation mourning his loss. Their aim is to use the same old stinky propaganda, but those of us who are so informed are not buying their (bolshevik) "bul!-shevik"

Reagan lives on!
