Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

SciFi Channel just showed Pitch Black... now they're showing a "making of" special for the sequel. We had planned to see it anyway, but this special is making the movie look veerrrrry interesting!

I'm gonna have a jacket! I was plannin' on havin' it there. But, likely I won't be wearin' the shorts I was thinkin' of if it's likely to be less than 75. I wanna be comfortable and not miserable durin' your wedding!

Here we are... praying *earnestly* that at the very least it won't be a complete downpour and soak the whole event...
and yet we have people that will be complaining and shivering that it isn't 150 F-ing degrees.
Small miracles are all we need. We really need it to simply not rain, and if so, then not very hard. Beyond that I'll be doing backflips of joy.

Sleeping through the night is something I am very much looking forward to.
Corin, Sorry that y'all are having ear troubles! Swimmer's ear is probably the most painful earache there is. If you haven't already, try drenching a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol and placing it is his ear. That is what we always did when I got swimmer's ear. It worked for me.

If everything turns out even halfway nice, I'll be thankful, and won't want to feel guilty about bringing people to what I think is a pretty dang nice spot.

It's an odd sort of science fiction horror movie, about a planet where it never gets dark, except once every decade or so, and then big evil monsters come out.
