Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...That none have seen but we alone.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sounds like maybe rear struts? That's what I think the guy said. When I turn right, especially, there's this gosh-awful screeching, squealing noise.

Oh dear, not fun at all then.
There, have sent an email that takes care of one issue for now. Working on the actual billable project. Maybe I'll be working late tonight.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed - hoping it's an inexpensive repair!
It's kinda embarrassing right now, though. Sometimes it's worse than other times. Had one point when Jim and I were over by Wal-Mart when it got REALLY bad, and everyone was staring at us as we went by. Since then it's been quieter, but still doing it.

I think my air conditioner is making noises, but I'm ignoring it until I've decided that it's really true.

If you start a new thread now, a bunch of us won't be able to post to it until we get back... (grouch, grouch)
Good morning...

I've put this off for far too long...
It's made noises off and on since winter, at least. But I didn't have the cash to look into it and it didn't seem THAT serious. But now it's worse, and I have at least enough to have it looked into. I'm still hoping it's something other than struts...I think that's a fairly expensive repair.

I'm so glad my car is mostly warranteed. At least I won't have too many expensive repairs in the next few years.

All local times, right? Local for the airport, that is.
Thanks for the information! We'll be thinking about ya, for sure.
Someone should take pictures starting at the airport in Seattle!
