This might be part of the reason Abu Ghraib happened. It sure explains why a huge number of students are apathetic about their schoolwork.

Raising children with a good foundation in a religion is a good start. To call the children who engage in this type of activity 'Godless' would be an understatement.

Yes, part of it.

Regarding the parents watching porn with their minor children -- CPS in this state will remove children from a household very quickly if there is evidence of that occurring.

I'd be interested in knowing just how many kids you talked to about this. A couple? A dozen?

A few years ago there was a cluster of syphilis amonst teens (as young as 13!) outside Atlanta in a wealthy area . And this is what was happening there...porn, drugs, lots of group sex....no parents around because they worked all the time and/or they were on some European vacation.

Obviously man can not be allowed to think of sex, lest similar problems occur elsewhere!
QUICKLY BROTHERS, let us herd the women away so that we will not ogle their sexy legs and other lovely bits!
Instead, let us stare at knotholes and beat ourselves over the head with educational videos until we stop thinking about all the sex we aren't getting!

The only time you stop thinking about sex is called death, most people realize this.
Are you quite sure someone isn't pulling a fast one on you?

You've hit it dead on in "the 10 ring".

And based on discussions I've had with a social worker, this problem is nearly as prevelant in the private schools as the public ones.

Here's some helpful information:

Every Man's Battle for Purity - We have to turn on to Christ! Dr. Jerry Kirk, Chairman of the National Coalition For the Protection of Children and Families, was a late addition speaker for the tenth "Answer the Call" Catholic Men's Conference! He presented the evils and pervasiveness of obscene media in his talk "Every Man's Battle for Purity". Dr. Kirk told us that the average male will see 14,000 suggestive images in a single year! He explained how this evil affects us all-in our marriages, in our attitudes and in our behavior. His answer is a close relationship with Christ. Here's one in the Minneapolis area:

If you struggle with living a life of truth, authenticity and holiness, you’re probably also wondering why your faith in God seems so distant and cold. That’s not surprising–the two usually go hand-in-hand. In today’s society, it’s a challenge to live in purity, but the reward of a full, satisfying life makes it worth the effort. Don’t allow culture and the enemy of your soul to steal your joy in life! Purity Ministries offers many resources to encourage and empower you to live a holy life to its fullest satisfaction so you can experience all God intended for you.
