I just got this in an e-mail from a friend -
"I'm telling you, the real reason that Iraq reconstruction is behind is because AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL SERVICES, a big construction company and one of CHENEY'S big adversaries in Washington, has been sabotaging things. Guess what? They are run by a MAJOR CLINTON DONOR, Farouki, whose written 50,000 dollar checks to the DNC. And guess what Farouki is a big back of Chalabi and his friends. Clearly Chalabi was a CLINTON PLANT to sabotage any possible invasion of Iraq, because it would have shown him to be the WUSS he is for not taking Saddam out earlier."
and the jury says...?
Ah, this should be investigated, however, all the investigators are tied up on the Martha Stewart case. Priorities you know.
Hmmmm.
At this point I would say that the Clinton plant is Tenent and possibly Powell.
Time will tell.............no, not Time the magazine, the other one.
I will believe noting ill of Powell unless it comes directly from one of two sources:
1. Powell himself
2. Dubya
The media is trying soooooooooooooo hard to split Powell from the Administration. I distrust what the media desires... don't you?
How about Rumsfeld? Look, this entire thing is linked to the UN oil for food scandal. Bremer is Powells man has been stonewalling that investigation and Chalabi had records State needed to suppress in order to prevent embarrassment to the UN. Tenet is the one that assured Bush that WMD was a slam dunk in the run-up to the war. The State Department including Powell was against the war in the first place and even though Powell appeared to come on board later, every public statement he has made has been crafted in a way that a portion of each statement could be extracted and used by the media as criticism. I dont trust Powell and havent trusted him from the beginning.
as I said: Powell himself or Dubya
I fully expect Powell to resign or be fired along with Tenet after the convention.
time will surely tell.
I reserve judgement, pending.
