To retort that. Tell them to the effect that Christianity is not what causes wars but Man using Christianity to serve his own purpose; or saying that its Man putting Man before God. An example would be FARC the Marxist terrorist in Colombia. They had to create Liberation Theology(Marxist interpretation of Catholicism) to obtain sympathy and support from the lower class.

Actually, the Nazis were in the process of beginning to supress traditional Christianity and instituting a new religion based on Teutonic mythology.

Hitler was enthralled by the operas of Richard Wagner, and he identified with Wagner's heroes such as Siegfried, Parsifal and Lohengrin.

I bet that, as a percentage, far more muslims have committed murder in the name of their religion than Christians have. If any liberals give you crap about the crusades, tell them to re-read their history books to discover WHY the crusades were waged. Hint...it was in response to something.

Also, though it's a favorite of liberals, this latter claim is simply untrue, like most of their other core beliefs. Other religions have killed far, far more people; Islam, for example. Hindus have always done a pretty good job of offing members of other religions, especially under the moral leadership of Gandhi. And the socialist/atheist religions of the 20th century (National Socialism and all the varieties of Communism) literally did kill more people than all other religions combined in human history.
