My neighbor was telling me about this and it really sounds ideal...does anyone know anything about it? I would love to know if this is legit, what the pros and cons are...
Working from home is certainly legit. I'm not very aware of this program. As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't have to pay to work. So, if they're asking for a bunch of fees to get started I'd run.
2J, there are some legitimately work from home oppportunities out there. This may be one of them. But like the other poster said, if they want you to pay to register, that's what they want. They're more interested in getting you're money than getting you work. Read all the fine print.
I keep my eyes open for this stuff. When I see some that sound good, I'll send you a freepmail.
These guys don't seem to...you have to get certified and you have to make sure you have the proper equipment...in my case I'd have to get DSL (aw shucks) and a headset.
I'm usually pretty leery of things like this, but it does sound pretty good...
I was hoping a fellow freeper maybe knew something about it or had experience with it...I'm looking for something I can do in the evening after the jedis go to bed.
Thanks FRiends, for your input! Here is what I found on the website...
I would get the DSL, cause I wants it and because it goes faster, from what I understand...
Q. Does it cost anything to get started?
A. We require our Contractors to have certain equipment to do the work - other than that - the Training Certification is sent to you (upon successful completion of Registration and Background Check) with no charge. To view this equipment list click on 'FAQ' page. Under 'PC/Phone Experience and Equipment' click 'What type of equipment is required?'
Q. What type of equipment is required?
A. Below is the list of required equipment:
PC with a minimum processing speed of Pentium 133
DSL Modem - OR - Cable Modem - OR - Dial Up Modem with a speed of 56k or higher
Monitor size of 14 inches or greater
Windows 95 or higher
CD-ROM
Internet Service Provider
Email Address
Sound Card with Speakers or Headset
2 Incoming Phone Lines (one for Dial up Modem and one for phone line) - OR - 1 Incoming Phone Line (with DSL or Cable Modem)
You're kidding! I wouldn't even know how to go about filing my taxes and such...
I could learn, though!
I would ask to speak to at least three others who are doing this and find out what their earnings per hour are. You don't want to spend 10 hours sitting in front of the PC for $20, do you?
Investigate it thoroughly.
Yeah, I asked about that. My neighbor told me that if you sign up to do a block of time, you're obligated. Say you sign up for a 4 hour "shift", that's when you have to sit there.
But she also said you can just log in and start working and then log off when you want to quit without having to commit to a block of time. There are "premium pay" times that I imagine people try to schedule to get, but you don't have to schedule. They get paid more during those particular minutes.
