"It's secure, Dr. Hill."
Which means it's not.
To: Rose in RoseBear
It's both: the ruler is only 323 feet long.

"There's no turning back now."
"I just hope this works."
You're planting nukes in bedrock underneath California and you HOPE it works? Last night she was betting her life on her "theories."

Director: Okay, everybody glance around and look at each other meaningfully like Joe Friday and Sgt. Gannon on "Dragnet". . .

What I want to know is why are there those awful stripes on the rug in the Oval Office?
To: Rose in RoseBear
You know, they should probably consider that setting that nuke off might revive Godzilla. ..

They're the same stripes the scientist lady has on her shirt.

Meanwhile, back in the other part of the movie...
To: Hawkeye's Girl
Her shirt looks like the stripes on a tube of Colgate.

After 5 seconds they cut away from Pa Kent--the only interesting character in the film!--great editing there!

Yeah, I know. That whole subplot would be much better off in another movie.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
CYA to the max!
Why is "Dr. Hill" detonating the bomb, and not the military or FEMA? At best, she's some jack-leg, jumped-up geologist who was too dippy to even get a government job ... since when is she a nuclear expert?

When the Pringles commercial is more interesting than the film, you know you're in sad shape.
