Dean Acheson was a snake. There's a book by Walter Isaacson titled "The Wise Men: Six Friends and the World They Made: Acheson, Bohlen, Harriman, Kennan, Lovett, McCloy." What a bunch! I haven't read it, but it should have been titled "A Whole Pit of Snakes."
I'm not surprised that the Acheson venom was passed along to Hillary Clinton.

"Hillary was so uptight, ...and called adults ma’am and sir.” Like that's a bad thing? Down here, we still do. It is considered a sign of courtesy and respect. Sounds like, at one time anyway, that Hillary may have actually known what that meant.
