Actually, I'm surprised that Moody Blues (and Chicago and Blood, Sweat and Tears and Steely Dan... the list goes on) are not on their list of worst bands and artists (follow the link) but the Doors and Mick Jagger are. And Iron Butterfly are only # 50? Those guys invented Bad!

Number one has to be 'Wildfire', I swear you could change the station and it would pick up right where the other station left off.

MacArthur Park Not to make fun of the deceased, but just how drunk was Richard Harris when he did that song? I remember when it was released, thinking that it was bad. Apparently quite a few people disagreed with me at the time going by record sales, but now you'd be hard pressed to find somebody who will admit to liking it now.

"We like, we like, we like, Ugly Women"
"Check it out we like the women with the real big lips
We like ugly women with oversized hips
The ones with green teeth, the ones with nappy hair, we like ugly women cuz we just don't care"
In the era of "We are the World", it amazes me that this song was played on radio....

Great list. It's restored my faith in rock critics. At least a little bit.

Speaking of TV stars, what about Don Johnson's "Heartbeat". As Crockett would say, "major uncool."

REO's Golden Country is a GREAT tune! Commie-pinko-anti-American Gary Richrath lyrics, but a great tune and still better than anything that sappy loser Kevin Cronin ever created.
